i hated the T800. cab way way too small for big people. 455HP paccar engine with a 10 speed and 3.36 gears is great for an over the road truck that never has to stop or climb hills. i have a 565 X15 cummins with 4.56 gears and an allison RSD4500 trans in my 2024.. perfect combination for the local driving i do, and gets me 7 MPG average local driving. i am in 6th gear at 45-50 mph. the 2022 with 565 engine, 4500 trans, and 3.90 gears stinks. have to go at least 60 to get into 6th. and gets 4-5 MPG local driving.

i use cascade powder for rust, and dawn liquid for oil. for oil add 3-4 teaspoons and fill with water. go for a 10 minute ride and flush. if oil is still visible do it again . then flush as good as you can with water. fill with water and go for another ride. once water comes out clean with no soap bubbles, fill with red ELC coolant and you are good to go. for rust, and few tablespoons of cascade powder and do the same flush repeat as for oil.

not hearsay. i took him to the impound yard and helped change the steer tires with now ones and sat there until the DOT troopers cleared truck to leave. i do not know what regulation he was written up for, but it was for the recaps on the steer axle. that is all the repairs we made to get truck released from impound.

i respect what DOT troopers say more than anything the internet says.

it is against the law to run recaps on the steer axle in New Jersey. i know a guy that had his truck red stickered and impounded during a roadside inspection in the scalehouse two years ago because of recaps on steer axle. the truck was not allowed to leave the impound yard until the front tires were changed. and he got a heavy fine for it too. i think the fine was $2,000. plus tow and storage. it ended up costing him close to $5,000 for not listening to us about the caps on steer axle. and it is s violation of most insurance companies rules too. which means if you run recaps on the steer ale and have a accident, they can deny all claims.

we always got "wait until your father gets home"!!!one of dads two full time jobs was a cop......and cops kids did not get in trouble in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. but by the time dad got home mom had already calmed down, and we were all in bed. the one time i was arrested in 73 i was taken out of work. i spent the night in jail because i was afraid to call home. dad came walking through the cell block and saw me in a cell.... never said a word, just walked to the shift sergeants desk to ask what i did. the sergeant said oh crap, i forgot he was in there. we caught the guy that broke into the car that someone said your son did by the truck description, and the other guy admitted that it was him and that he also stole your sons truck to do it. dad came and unlocked the cell and took me home. as we pulled into the yard he asked why i did not call, and i said cops kids do not get in trouble. the next morning my truck was sitting in the yard. the sergeant had two midnight shift officers retrieve it from the impound yard and deliver it back home.

couldn't even buy a carton of smokes with a c note any more. in nu yawk, that carton is gonna cost you close to $200 even here in joisey it was around $125 for a carton last i looked
