  1. for me it takes me back to the first truck i was paid to drive, a B-815.
  2. where do they live now? that picture sure as heck was not taken at freshkills!
  3. maybe... or maybe not. 😁
  4. that is the fresh air door. on AC trucks it opens automatically when ac is on. if the AC is on recirculate, it stays closed.
  5. DPF. not DEF.
  6. i missed out on a 64 lightweight back in 04. as i was passing the house the guy was parking it near the road at the end of his driveway with $4999 on the window. saw it and flipped around with the lowboy. in the 10 minutes it took to do the flip on the highway, it was sold. all stock with 24,000 miles on it.
  7. 65 was laast year for fridge door handles on trucks. 66 went to regular car door handle
  8. tilting the engine makes a little more room in engine bay. i have seen some macks with tilted engines too.
  9. oh wait, never mind, TRUMP BROUGHT IT IN!!!! 🤣
  10. they know whos it was......they just will not admit it.
  11. sometimes it is sometimes it aint. 75 mile days are nice. 400 mile days suck.
  12. Still better than nu yawk. Last I looked regular was 5.10 and diesel was 5.55. On static island
  13. they have the paccar engines, rite?
  14. wow!!! and i thought $3.25 was bad yesterday.
  15. Same trans I had in the r and dm. But each worked different
  16. not sure what trans it was other than a twin stick. driver side was main, passenger side stick was reverse to you and back, low away and up, and direct away and back. the 85 R models was main in gear, aux in neutral. the 79 DM was main in neutral and aux in gear. but now that i think of it, they were not air pto, they were mechanical shift.
  17. i have had them both ways. main in gear, aux in neutral. also main in neutral and aux in direct.
  18. i have been looking for an enclosed trailer for a while now. 4 years ago a 8X20 was $7,200. that same trailer today is over $11,000
  19. and i bet the sold it the next day for a good 20 grand profit too!!!
  20. it has the ViN we were given. the issue was when making a change order on the order sheet, everything reverts back to basic order. so you need to change line by line. and since the salesman knew he was retiring in a few weeks, he did not care and only checked off the "important" big money items like cummins engine, allison trans, and navplus stereo. when i got the order sheet for the new truck a few months ago, i noticed a few items missing and called on them. three days later i got a new order sheet with all the correct items. than once ordered got the same build sheet with everything i wanted before it was sent to the factory for assembly. seems like a really stupid way to do business, but as they say, what do i know, i am just a stupid truck driver.
  21. Bob, that is not the trucks fault. it is the way it was ordered. when you order the cheapest pos you can, you get a cheap pos. we order the best we can. unfortunatly this one truck was not what we ordered, and did not realize it until it was built, paid for and delivered.
  22. i don't. they voted for those idiots, because they promised free stuff for that vote.
  23. mmmmm BACON!!!!
