  1. if you sweep it all under the carpet, the new millennials will never admit it ever happened. which is what is happening now. the demonrats plan to have the sheep following their every word as truth is almost complete...
  2. convoy girl was Ali MacGraw.
  3. agreed. to me that is more a parts truck. and priced WAY too high.
  4. unplug the switch and inspect the plug and contacts for corrosion. than with a jumper wire go from center terminal to each side. center should be hot, and the sides should be low and high. this test will check the wiring. but yes, i would replace the switch because that is the weak part of the system. sometimes you need to replace the switch and pigtail too.
  5. ain't that the truth!!!! every day my prediction we are getting closer to the movie "idiocracy" becomes more true.
  6. yup, that is what it said..........three days ago.
  7. i do not have air leaks Bob. when these trucks were brand new they would not hold air. the tandem would loose 10 psi per minute.... the triaxle was only around 5 psi per minute. i refused delivery until ALL air leaks were fixed. they can now sit for 7 days and only loose less than 5 pounds air pressure.
  8. he is 87 Bob. i saw a report on friday sept first showing his obituary... dated 09/05/2023
  9. i do not pay attention to any gauges but the speedometer while driving. i usually don't even look at gauges when stopped. if anything happens the computer will let me know there is an issue with warning buzzers.
  10. Paul, if ya gonna go big, GO BIG. like a E9 600 HP . or maybe a 12V92TT Detroit!
  11. pretty much trying to do away with real gauges, yup. i have two mechanical gauge in the 2022 triaxle, and they are for pusher axle pressure, and brake applied air pressure. the tandem with air ride has three. two are suspension air gauges, the third is brake applied pressure. everything else is digital.
  12. not just you. i have been known to apply for a darwin award or two. or four. did i tell you about the time i was doing something on the passenger side of an E6 300 and slipped, stuffing my right hand straight into the spinning fan, stopping it dead.....and cutting my hand in half 3/4 of the way down to my wrist, two fingers on side three on the other? thank god the engine was cold and the fan clutch worked.
  13. i tell people "i used to be conceited until i found out it was a fault. and i am perfect so i can't be conceited" to which my ex used to say yup, he is a perfect askwhole!!!
  14. well, this is the weekend to spend quality time drinking cold adult beverages with friends....👍
  15. yup. us humans do some really stupid things.........................even if we don't want to admit it.
  16. agreed. you may think you are not getting anywhere. than one day you will be in prime and stand back and think wow, this is really looking good.
  17. JOKER???? why thank you Paul, i think that is the nicest thing you ever called me.
  18. i hated the T800. way too small big big drivers. |and i love the new digital dash in the 2022 T880. you can determine which gauges you want to see and where you want to see them, and blank out the useless ones like rear axle temp. two i would like to have back are pyrometer, and trans temp.
  19. yup, what Joey said. pulled many a shifter on the side of the road, and stuck a BIG screwdriver down in the top of the trans to put the shift gates back in neutral, than stuff shifter back in cause the boss was too cheap to have the trans rebuilt and trucks had a gazillion miles on them.
  20. i see it every day. last friday i had to go 90 miles south on the NJ turnpike. in the rain. i was right lane 55 mph. when it got bad i dropped down to 40 with strobes on. and idiots were still running 75 plus. with 200 foot visibility. why? because they work for nothing getting paid by the load, if they don't speed and drive recklessly, they don't make any money.
  21. Paul, our biggest problem on this side of the world is the smarter then make cars, the stupider the drivers get. we have many many many fatal wrecks because the drivers put the cars on "auto pilot" and than stop paying attention. one noted one a few years ago was a Tesla executive that put his car on auto pilot and then started watching a movie. a tractor trailer made a turn, and the car drove under it killing the occupant.
  22. Expansion chamber to take pulses out of the water stream from the pump.
  23. the 10 speed trans is way better with 3,73 gears, but you will not get the fuel mileage of the 3.31 gears.
  24. it actually is not "full" Paul. it was closed due to complaints of floating debris in waterways, odors feral animals, and a bunch of other complaints. the EPA was heavily involved in the closing too. as for travel distance, waste is now transported to local transfer facilities by truck, where it is sorted and loaded into rail cars to be sent by rail to other states. mostly virginia, ohio, and soon to be going to a new landfill in north western new york.
