i have been complaining ot Kenworth for the past year my 2022 T880 with X15 cummins engine and rough duty 4500 allison trans has electrical issues.
they keep on saying they cant find anything wrong with it.
even after i took the service manager out for a ride and slammed his head into the windshield when the stability control came on for no reason, defueled the truck, and locked up the brakes.
today at 11ami was in traffic on the NJ turnpike. 9 miles of under 15 MPH.
on a side note, we ordered the truck with 4.56 gears. it was delivered with 4.10 gears. so the trans never gets into 6th gear, because it is speed limited at 64 mph, and you have to be doing at least 63 to get into 6th.
managed to get it off the turnpike before i lost all gears. trans diagnostics said trans fluid too hot to determine problems.
called the dealer and told them the truck broke down, electrical issues with trans, send a tow truck.
they sent a service van with two mechanics who proceeded to go over the truck, give me a pretrip report, and one jumped in it to drive it back to dealership.
at 1 pm i saw the truck on the side of the turnpike with smoke coming out from under it.
on the way back north i saw a tow truck hooking it.
about an hour ago, the dealer called saying we smoked the trans, the fluid is burnt black.
not under warranty.
this truck has 12,235 miles on it when they took it.
i told the service manager to look at the pre trip his guys did.
in bold letters it says trans fluid level ok and bright pink.
"oh"
i informed him i will accept nothing less than a NEW trans, and a NEW wiring harness to address the issues i have been having with the truck since it was new with 107 miles on it.
and if not, Paccar corporate will be getting a registered letter with all the issues i have had and their refusal to address the issues.
i dont get mad..............i get even.
