  1. with a knife and fork, like they do in chicago!! ya forgot about bahstin
  2. over here we get the nu yawkas. they talk about how nice it is to live down da shaw. and only have to drive 4 owas to get in da sitty fa woik.
  3. me thinks you will have a better chance of seeing free ice water dispensers placed on every street corner in hell than that ever happening.
  4. this was a good thread to review on this nasty foggy new years eve. visibility outside is about 100 yards...............and the first time in close to 12 years the fog horn on the lighthouse out in the bay has sounded. too bad so many truck pictures are no longer available..
  5. Brocky, i was also referring to the model. a 55, (which was also made in the 50's and older) had a round nose. the MB-4 started in the 60's. the model 55 also had a 4 door cab
  6. yes on the Coleman tug, but no on the 55. i am pretty sure that is much newer than the 55, like a late 60's or early 70's MB4
  7. better than trying to escape from a pissed off wife Paul.
  8. nope. heavy road construction and frozen ground do not mix. we do winter layoff between christmas and new year every year. just so happens 2-3 inches of rain for today and tomorrow, than temps in low teens for the next week means we said screw it and shut down. we will still be playing on non frozen days as we are building a new shop location.
  9. i got fired yesterday afternoon. until around Easter.
  10. it is currently 43 here, with 55 called for tomorrow. than 12 for the HIGH temp on saturday. with 25-30 mph winds.
  11. lipstick on a pig Bob.
  12. don't feel bad. my mind says 25, but my body says 125.
  13. we had the same issue back in the 70's early 89's Paul. deer were eating the apple and peach orchards bare. contacted the state who did a survey, and they determined there were NOT ENOUGH deer per acre. so we decided to take care of the problem ourselves. 22 long rifle and a spotlight at 11pm. working with the local sheriff, he gave names of needy families. we would shoot 3-4 deer PER NIGHT. and drop the gutted carcass off to said needy families. plus donated a whole mess to the county for use feeding prisoners in the county lockup. did that for close to 15 years before finally selling the orchards.
  14. yup, that be him.
  15. sure do Dave, but i don't think they are in Netcong anymore. last time i was past there in the spring the trucks said Big Red LTL
  16. i have a smith 351PD for the 22 mag revolver. 7 shot aluminum frame with stainless barrel insert, and Crimson Trace Laser. it will hide in the palm of your hand the 9MM has a Crimson Trace on it also. and sorry, they destroyed the molds and egg shell fragments after i hatched, saying something about "one of me was more than enough" 😂
  17. i have "kids" tell me all the time i need to retire and let some "young blood" behind the wheel. only problem here is the "young blood" steering wheel holders can not keep them on their wheels. we average three rollovers per day in new jersey. i have two friends that are 89, and 91 that still drive. Gene had his CDL pulled last year at 90 years old, so he now only does site work. Jessie is still on the road, but he too will go on site next year when the state pulls his CDL. NJ has a no CDL over 90 rule. funny part of it is both those old times will run circles around the kids. in their sleep. i had a guy come to me "highly experienced", with 10 years on the road. can not drive manual trans, can not follow directions. of the fps was not three inches from his nose, or he was more than 14 foot from the truck in front of him, he would get lost. and can not drive off asphalt. he looked at dirt and got stuck. he lasted 3 months and we sold the truck he was driving to get rid of him.
  18. well, i was going to load pics, but the interwebs is not letting me. nightstand gun is a smith 45-06 with trijicon sights loaded with glaser safety slugs. canceled carry and couch pocket gun is a smith M&P 9mmEZ around the house carry is a bond arms derringer with .410 7 pellet buckshot in upper barrel, and a 45 colt long in lower barrel.
  19. i got the 45-70 as a fluke. i was in the gun shop at the range having one of the 03-A3's evaluated and noticed it. asked to see it and said i will take it after shop owner told me he would give me $650 for trade on the 03-A3. it is a Henry "big Boy" i bought most of my ammo before the prices went stupid. and i also like to buy by the case to get best price. the 45-70 is a real shoulder bruiser with the brass butt plate. even with 3 inches of padding it still starts hurting after 5-6 rounds. i mounted a Mitchell 6 power 18 inch tube scope on it. it is a tack driver at 200 yards.
  20. i never had the opportunity to run a 903. i did however have 2 triple nickels. one in a clark loader, and one in a freightliner single axle truck. the loader was natural asperated and a screamer. revved real fast, like a 2 stroke detroit. the little dump was turboed, and was also a screamer, but it did not have the power to pull hills with over 8 ton load.
  21. here in jersey it dropped close to 80 cents per gallon. gas is down over 80 cents per gallon too. i paid $2.79 thursday morning.
  22. how about a pic of the ammo cabinet? i have 500 rounds 45-70, 100 of 25-06, 1,500 22 magnum, around 1,100 44 magnum, around 1,200 45APC, 1,450 9mm, 250 38 special, 250 .410 7 pellet buckshot, around 200 .410 #6 shot, 500 45 colt long, about 250 12 gauge in different shot size, around 200 20 gauge #6 shot, around 200 28 gauge in #6 shot, around 100 10 gauge 6 shot, around 50 16 gauge #7.5 shot, 3 or 4 thousand 22 long rifle, and around 100 50 cal black powder maxiballs
