a friend still runs 4 every day. the newest one has over 2 million miles on it. and looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. when they got done for the day, they are disconnected from the dry bulk tank trailer, and washed before parked inside the garage. every saturday they are greased, every other saturday two trucks are inspected top to bottom and repaired as needed.

yup, wheel chocks strapped to the front bumper, and safety bars to prevent falling off the fender while doing pre trip inspection of engine compartment.

i do not store pictures here on forums, i store them in my computer and than i post pictures from my computer. never have any issues.

agreed. i am not a fan of the western star looks, but that one ain't bad. kind of surprised they are only using 525 hp for a truck that weighs 81,585 lbs EMPTY.

yea, i remember those kysor rooftop units. ran 72 autocar, a 68 or 69 freightshaker cabover, and a 65 brockway with them. as you said, when they worked, it was like being in a meat locker. even in those old wrecks that had more holes in them than insulation!!!

back in 88 i got a new R-68 with AC. asked the mack dealer why it had ac and he told me any class 8 truck built after Jan 1 88 had to have AC. i don't know if he was pulling my leg or not, but every truck we got after that had AC. the 87 and older trucks usually did not have AC

every mack i ever drove had great ac, and fantastic heaters. great ac in the winter, and fantastic heaters in the summer!!!! 😁

I noticed the trimmed fenders too, and figured it was for the flotation tires. Whether factory or home done I don't know. but at least it don't look like hack job.

Paul, the bigger problem is the crooked politician's cheat, and they own the courts. So our hands are tied behind our backs until they declare war on us. The other problem we have is all career politicians are crooked.

i was thinking more like alaska, or montana where you can go 500 miles without seeing someone else. once Mom dies, i have no reason to stay in this communist run state.

brocky, i said that as a joke. my niece and nephew are there outside of sandy eggo. he is a gunny stationed at Pendleton. and they can't wait for this tour to be over so they can get the heck out of there. if i leave NJ, i will go north. i HATE the heat. anything over 75 and i start to melt. over 80 and i can not breath. my perfect temp is 55-60. but i have no issues with cold either. i don't even put a long sleeve shirt on until it gets below 30 or so. and it has to be below zero for me to break out a coat.

sounds a lot like the 05 i used to have. my would do at least 75. never had it over that though. it was good on the road, but with those gears sucked off road. was also tough on the clutch trying to take off on an uphill grade loaded from a stop.

same here Paul. at least in most city areas. most of the kids don't know who their father is.

why Bob? after i retire i am thinking of moving there. just think, work part time and get $25 per hour to sit on a stool and feed burgers into a microwave!!!!!!
