  1. is the sander working better letting the spray glue tack up before applying the disc?
  2. took a short nap, and went back outside to inspect the 02 diesel F350 for where the power steering leaks are. found 3 bad lines. and got the positive battery terminal off the post on the exploded battery. then decided enough was enough and came inside, sat down, and took my boots off. having a chicken sammich, and will probably take another nap before bedtime.
  3. i had enough energy today to put the falcon in the garage, clean up all the doors, hoods, and trunk lids, put the big diesel generator in back of the 88 F350, put the miller gas driven welder in back of the F350, take the gantry crane apart to weld the legs, and get rid of the dump truck and trailer. i still have the skid steer and attachments here cause tomorrow is another day. but i ran out of steam.
  4. no old pictures of the 79 F350 4X4... no new ones either... but i bought it 6 months old, and still have it.
  5. good deal!! too bad i have too many projects already.
  6. you have to spray ,then let it dry to a tacky texture before applying the sanding disc.
  7. you are fitting into retired life just fine. spend all morning drinking coffee, and the afternoon finding excuses to not do anything productive. 😁
  8. yea, his last post was feb 21 2020
  9. nothing is being said or done for people in the south because they mostly vote republican.so the demonrat politicians and their biased media say and do nothing for the southern peoples.
  10. probably thinks good! black men are finally learn how to make money off whitey.
  11. on the 05 granite it was an air pressure regulator feed line leaking. replaced the line and the next day the compressor threw a rod through the side dumping 3 gallons of oil out before i noticed the oil leak.
  12. sorry for your loss. as Paul said, that is an R model. they were made from 1966 to early 90's with around 360,000 being made over that span. here is one http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/Ragman517/2008 July-Dec/100_1983.jpg
  13. when they say "billionaires" they are not talking about them selves. they are talking about all the normal middle class "billionaires". you know, the ones that are living paycheck to paycheck trying to feed their families and keep enough gas in the family car to get to work and back.
  14. 25 thousand Bob,, not 25 hundred
  15. I used to chain up for traction in the muddy farm fields..
  16. It has been so long ago since I was 37. my twins are 13 years older than you.
  17. i am 55 years in trucks, and last i counted am rite around 3 million miles with no chargeable accidents. but i have also been local run(under 400 miles per day) for the past 40 years or so.
  18. so far up here in joisey we have only had mild winds, rain, rain, and more rain. been raining here since friday afternoon.
  19. yup, bosses father in law switched all his trucks to 11-24's as 12-24's are getting impossible to find.
  20. i dont even need to do that! just put the onan 17.5 KW diesel generator with the 80 gallon built in tank on the back of the pickup.
  21. my brother has an electric mustang. summer range is 280 mile, winter range is around 175. apparently batteries discharge faster when cold. he lives 15 miles east of newark airport in nj. he can drive to atlantic city, but needs to recharge to get back home. but he stays at borgata hotel when there, and they offer complimentary recharging.
  22. electric IS NOT the way to go for trucking at the current time, as technology is not ready, no matter what big brother says. on the other hand, the hybrid technology these guys are using IS the way to go. an electric truck would have left me dead on the road friday... why? because i did 390 miles friday. the technology is not available yet to made a truck that can run 80,000 lbs for 400 miles. coca cola ordered 120 electric T680 day cab tractors last year from the local kenworth dealer. took delivery of the first 15 and canceled the order because the trucks could not even handle the 120 mile per day use without charging...even though they were supposed to be able to handle 250 miles without charging.
  23. a 4.56 gear truck will do 80 with no problem, but you will be up around 2100-2200 RPM with 12/24.5 tires.
