  1. you have an air leak in the selector somewhere preventing the trans from shifting out of neutral. it should not be leaking air
  2. untrue JOJO. masks work very good......at showing me who to avoid because they are idiots.
  3. On my 05 granite, the little line coming out of the compressor was bad. Changed it and no more dryer blowing off every 30 seconds.
  4. now that i look at the picture, i realized we had west coast style mirrors on it not those little ones.
  5. no. i lost everything around 30 years ago when the old house was in a flood. but it looked just like this pic i got off the internet: faded fire engine red with grey rims. had the dual fuel tanks like this one too. it had the big inline red diamond 406 gas engine and a quad box trans.
  6. i would love to be able to find a 49 L-190 like i learned to drive on. i drove that truck every day for 6 years. it was my car when i was not making deliveries or pickups for the farm. when i got done work i would drop the 38 foot trailer and off i would go.
  7. with cruise control off, flip the switch up to "set" and release. then count the times the light flashes. it will be a two number sequence. like 5 flashes, then 4 flashes. that two number sequence will be the fault code. (5-4) you then look up that code to find out what is wrong.
  8. it was tired, but it did the job. had crazy power, mainly due to gearing. top speed was 47-48 MPH.
  9. for 25 years i ran mack DM800 tractors with the 58k rears. first with 237, or later 285 HP engines and the "mud stick" trans. actually, the first tractor was a B-815 with a V-8 and quad box, but that got sold after being in it for 6 months or so. then about 20 years ago i switched jobs and this company runs kenworth W900 with air suspention. 600 HP 15 litre cat engine with 18 speed trans. sure makes life easier with the big engine and 18 speed.
  10. that white stuff is truck dandruff.
  11. oh, ok. never tried that. but then again, the only air ride tractors i ran were hooked to drop neck low boy trailers. disconnect, drop suspension and pull forward 12 inches. then lift and pull away. when hooking up, back to touch deck with the trailer neck, drop suspension, slide the pins in, flip locks and lift trailer.. then lift suspension and drive away.
  12. ain't it kinda hard to pull the 5th wheel pin when ya drop like that?
  13. They were not offered as a standard option, but back then you could order a truck built however you wanted. I know of 2 superliner tractors ordered with 8v92tt detroits and 13 over trans
  14. if i remember correctly, the fabricated manifold was exhaust, not intake.
  15. i was not even aware there was a BMT booface page.
  16. he still gets a name drop here once in a while, but since he was proved to be a lying sack of petrified dog turds, no one pays him any attention except for the kool aid drinkers.
  17. wow. i wish the one i ran back in the 80's looked like that!!
  18. i figured i would get at least one "i am not a dirty old man, i took a bath just last week!!"
  19. you guys are a bunch of dirty old men. 😁 i wonder what keeps them from knocking her out when she hits a big wave!
  20. I was going to say Federal until I saw the faint outline of the gmc on the grill top
