  1. Barry, i was wrong in saying "new format" . what i should have said was new theme. the appearance of the new theme is just different enough to make you think hmmmmm what is different? but with it also came a few things that moved to unseen locations, like the sign out button.
  2. i saw this one the other day. yall southern folk will not get it, but the northerners will.
  3. click on your user name, sign out is on the bottom of the pop up screen. i actually prefer this new format. simple to read and easier to see with the old eyes.
  4. if the fuel pump gives out you will have low fuel pressure and no power. i lost a the fuel pump on my 99 driving down the road. went to take off from a light, and could not make 40 mph. i tried making it the two miles home, and was only doing 15 mph by the time i got in the yard. pulled the fuel filters and the primary filter was only half full. changed the pump and the next day i was back walking away from the t800 with C15 engine
  5. i would check fuel pressure, and turbo boots for boost leaks.
  6. i have only had two steer tires blow out and go flat in less than two seconds due to road debris. and TPMS would not have helped in either of those situations. as far as driving on a tire going flat from a leak, i can feel it. but then again, i have been driving for 51 years. large trucks for 45.
  7. i have no idea what it even is. i use full site on the phone, and everything works just fine except for "mark all read" it is probably there, i just have not found it yet because i am still learning how to use the phone. i have only had it about three weeks.
  8. back when i was a youngun, i ran one of them tandem dump truck for a few weeks helping a friend while he was sick and could not drive.. it had a 190hp cummins with a quad box.
  9. Fargo trucks were made between 1913 and 1930' but the Canadian Dodge , AKA the fargo was made from 1935 to 1972
  10. well, Bob Chris is not a registered member here.
  11. a local contractor had a bighorn for many many many years he used to pull his lowboy trailer. he finally replaced it with a T800 when it would not pass emissions two years ago.
  12. ok, the cabover duplex firetrucks. i have seen plenty of them.
  13. same here. looks a lot like an international
  14. I would find the leak first. There may not be anything wrong with the air bags.
  15. well, it has been sitting for a while, you can tell by the mud splash on the tires. but not long enough for the tires to sink into the ground
  16. very carefully!!! 😁
  17. people will say anything to make a sale. i know of two that were here in New Jersey over the past 10 years with detriot power from the factory.
  18. if the bags deflate with engine shut off, you have a leak somewhere. if they stay deflated with engine running and air at 120lbs, there is a problem with the valve or link to the valve.
  19. sounds like the air valve for the cab air bags is bad/bent and keeping the air bags deflated.
  20. single cylinders are used because they are cheap. a better setup is dual cylinders outside the frame like a roll off has, or the best there is is three cylinder setup.
  21. my first equipment trailer was a beavertail with 20 foot deck. "single axle" with 4 tire sets. to change the inside tires you had to flip it upside down. don't remember the brand, that was 45 years ago. i pulled it with a B-815 with a quad box for 8 or 9 years before they sold the setup. then i moved up to the 79 DM-800 with the 100 ton rodgers trailer.
  22. nothing like an older paystar to make you remember when trucks were trucks, and driver worked for a living!! although now that i am a whole lot older, i kinda like the "senior citizen" kenworth i am in, and do not miss the armstrong steering, flintstone brakes, ac in winter, heat in summer, and quadbox trans.
  23. it was a beast for sure. one time i got stopped by DOT for a snap roll puff test. the dot man said ok, you are empty. i said nope, call me loaded. he asked where the load was and i told him empty weight is 79k. he did not believe me and they put the scales under me to see actual weight before doing the snap roll test. and i still only blew something like 15%. they were all amazed. but the thing was, it was a 10 foot wide X 30 foot long deck then you have the ex dump truck DM-800 tractor, and 18 14 X 24 tires makes for one heavy rig.
  24. like i said, it had a 14 foot wide full "U" blade. it was at one time used in a garbage dump to push off garbage. when we got it we added 12 inch blocks(i think it was) to the pistons to push instead of carry material. the blade was 4 foot deep. my 79 DM800 tractor and Rodgers trailer was 79,000 and change empty. with the 8 K on trailer i was 202,000 lbs on the Hudson County Sheriffs scales. and they had to let me go because i had 14-24 rubber on the truck and trailer, and "S" tags on the trailer which made my allowed gross weight around 210,000 lbs. an that was with a 237 engine that had larger turbo and injectors and a turned up pump, and the "mud stick" trans. i never went over 25 mph with the D8's, 235 excavators, or terex TS 24 scrapers, because of weight.
  25. why are you trying to pick a fight? if you have a problem with another member, put them on your ignore list.
