  1. Amen to that 99 percent of the people on this forum won't talk to me because I don't hate volvo . I comment on a thread and the thread stops lol
  2. Could be the engine harness we just did one on our 2013 . we never had it not start though. we have 3 Titans so far any electronic issue has been solved quick by our service dealer in Fitzwilliam nh . good luck
  3. Doesn't mcdevitt sell macks in Lancaster nh ?
  4. If they rotted so bad so quickly they'd all be gone by now . Why's there so many of those trucks still running when ford's of the Era are all but non existent
  5. I love the 73 thru 87 gm trucks they are really rugged beasts . The half tons were probably tougher than today's 3/4 ton made by any mfg, I'd take one of those and put a modern LS chevy v8 and have the best of both worlds.
  6. We've thrown the idea around of twin steer for our trucks because we run in ny state alot and you have to have steering tags or pushers to get overweight permits with trucks newer than 06 . I have seen a guy with a western star logger in Vermont that has twin steer axles . At only 10k more I think it would be a better option than the tag axles that cost about that and we don't care for these steerable tags they suck Imo . We actually threw around the idea of a mru twin steer with the mp 8 505 with a log loader on back .
  7. Rochester diesel . You can get injectors and turbo for your truck . Claims 500 to 600 hp . Rebuild your engine and install the injector and turbo upgrades .
  8. GbGreetings from this dumb American that drives a Silverado 4x4 with a pushrod v8 and a mack titan . Damn proud of it
  9. How much does it cost to import a scania into the United States?
  10. Yeah if they were still making RD's even with the mp engines they do still sell plenty of them
  11. Well the overall majority in our country likes conventionals.
  12. I don't sit on the floor . I do like like the longer hoods as that's what I've grown up with and driven for 18 years long hood macks. I just think the euro cab over designs are ugly they all look the same like over grown refrigerators. I'm sure the drive nice .
  13. i like this new cascadia, id rather drive that than an european cabover ,
  14. So far we've been able to get parts for our E9 they are expensive though .
  15. Which of the old v8 865 866 held up better ? The 325 or 375 ? I've heard horror stories of guys that ran them back in the 70' s having to change head gaskets and heads every 6 months.
  16. Yeah actually though I think they put a new ecm for vmac2 and down loaded a file from someone else's truck that was a 427 and put the marine injectors as they called them .
  17. We had a 93 superliner with a 400 electronic e7 . It was always a dog . We ended up downloading a 427 file and putting in bigger injectors and it woke it up. It had more power than our 95 western star with a 425 cat . Back in 01 when we did it it cost maybe 4 grand but everything has gone up so who knows.
  18. I don't see a big change from the past PayStar models to these these new HX . Same cab different dash little different hood . Nice looking trucks but not much different than the old models
  19. That big six would've completely changed the history of mack trucks. I love the e9 but that big block six could have been rated from 350 all the way to 550hp if it was produced and lasted thru the 2000s . Would have been popular engine.
  20. i have done research on other sites and the great common rsail isnt as trouble freeas ks wants you to believe it has issues just as everything else, i get the feeling if mack volvo had common rail and other makers didnt have it ks would be saying the others are better,
  21. Gotta love a mack website with a guy telling people not to buy a mack then posting how mack sales are low. All new trucks have problems . Buy what YOU want ... I've seen plenty of Cascadia with Detroit on road broke down
  22. We had 2 CL gliders still have one . Both came without any engine trannys or rears. Did mack ever offer a powered glider or rolling glider like Daimler has been doing ? There's been a lot of shady stuff going on with these gliders I'vE heard of one big dealer getting fined for selling gliders and using the same donor truck Vin # for several trucks which is illegal.
  23. Why not buy mack . Make volvo a offer they can't refuse
