  1. Anyone on here ever hear of Warren fane trucking in troy ny.they have a fleet of atleast 50 trucks. I'd say half Mack. Alot of chu, chn, gu,and cl. Ive never saw any of there trucks on this site. They used to have superliner and r models as well
  2. [quote name="kscarbel" post="237009" timestamp="139463089 You can blame Renault if you like, however you are entirely wrong. The MH and CH were being designed far earlier than the time frame you are imagining. And I'm very proud of both the MH and CH. We moved forward a generation in heavy truck design. My thoughts are certainly NOT about old versus new. And I don't believe anyone is "living in the past". Speaking for myself, I'm in the global market selling cutting edge Euro-6 trucks every day. Thus I speak knowing the past and present, and with inside knowledge of the future.what I'm saying is alot of the negativity is toward emissions regulations which Mack or Volvo or cummins or anyone else but the gov't can be blamed. As far as the ch goes it failed to capture the hearts of Mack customers . Also Mack was left without a halo truck that stood out from the crowd from 1993 until 2006 when the rawhide came out for highway truckers. And 2010 when the titan came out for vocational market. Mack lost alot of sales and has never recovered from that blunder. I dont know who is to blame if its Renault or Mack engineers
  3. This argument is really about the good old days vs todays technology. The old trucks had a simple ruggedness to them that will never be duplicated. They also had there problems. Rough ride small cabs coffin sleepers no engine brakes or very effective ones. Todays trucks have solved those problems but have there new sets of issues government mandates are most of the problems so modern trucks have lost the character of the old trucks. Mack lost alot of sales when they got out of the business of making a modern classic. I blame Renault for this not Volvo. Volvo has actually made better looking macks than Renault let them have. Example chu rawhide and titan.
  4. If you think about it macks have always had different styles of writing on there trucks . For example on a superliner on the grill it says Mack in simple straight letters.on the side of the hood it says Mack in the more slanted cursive style. Then on the steering wheel it says Mack in block letters .so theres 3 different types of logos/Mack lettering just on one model of truck
  5. its a bulldog sitting on top of the word Mack. What is to be ridiculed about that?
  6. I had to put my dads superliner on here
  7. Ive heard stories from die hard Western star guys that the newer ones are not as well constructed as the older ones. They say the hoods crack and the doors shells are paper thin. I know the older stars were tough trucks we had a couple . But like every thing else now days they cheapened them up.
  8. Yeah I wish the North American titans had that grill. But atleast they gave us something better looking than the cl and the mp10 is better than having a under powered e7 or a Cummins isx in a Mack heavy hauler
  9. That maroon titan is awesome
  10. The way I look at this is Volvo must have some respect for the Mack nameand know that they have to keep it going because mMack is one of the only companies that Volvo didn't immediately completely dispose of after taking over. Volvo has owned Mack for 14 years. Volvo needs the Mack name if Volvo is to remain in North America if Volvo killed the Mack name they would loose half of there North American sales and not be a player in the vocational truck market.
  11. Actually I take that back there black with maroon fenders
  12. There's a big fleet in upstate ny that has some newer granite dumps painted maroon with charcoal fenders. Nice looking units
  13. That is overkill 440 hp 860 tq no wonder they only get 9 mpg if you work them.retarded just so some weekend warrior can brag about his truck
  14. Thanks guys.84superdog I wanted the same colors and stripes as my dads superdog but Mack water 2500 extra to do it so we went with blue and red . I want to outcome red and white striyes and some starsmaybe on it. Or just red pinstripes and yellow lettering like Thomas the train
  15. Ill admit I was dissapointed with the video but it was a short video. . It wasn't a featurefilfilm.
  16. Heres a picture of my new titan and a pic of 3 generations of Mack loggers
  17. Some people just like to bitch about everything. Its a video for gods sake get over yourselves the r model cab isn't coming back the e6 and e9 are not coming back.. its onething to keep the old macks running and cherish them as classic icons but the constant whining about Volvo and modern macks is getting old.as for the new logo I done see anything wrong with it.Mack has had alot of different logos .
  18. FoundOnRoadDead
  19. Atleast there trying to get Mack noticed.I think alot of truck buyers overlook Mack.
  20. thank you I'm gonna paint the body red and the uprights aluminum Silverado add some red and white stripes to the truck
  21. thanks mr 3p . I went down to ballard mack to look at it a few weeks ago and I deffinately love the truck, cant wait to get it on the road
