  2. Hi, weld her up, it will be pitted under the straps, but it wont be to bad. in my pics I have the tank mounted near tail shaft, it sits behind fuel tanks, it is genuine mack Grant
  3. Hi, its funny they fall apart most of the time in a yard, we had one come in from the mine and it had been pulling triples every day, it was un hooked and backed into its parking spot and was serviced a week before and the steering joint had fallen out and landed on the ground as he got out of the cab. how luck is that. Grant
  4. yep, there all getting tite, dont want to give out that precious info over here. loose them money. I wouldnt mind if I had looked at ten tricks and all the same, but every trucks differant! and someone from ATAP has given me all these valves and said you need all these, yet I have not found a diagram yet with them all in it an they cant supply one. Grant
  5. Hello, Paganellis just say bring it to the workshop and we will sort it out. I tried to get that bendix brake diagram, but couldnt find it, I found another one but it doesnt show quick release valves, ATAP supplied it all, but they cant supply a diagram for all the components they supplied. 6. California girls dont look like that! Grant
  7. Hi, how is the oil pressure to turbo? low? Grant
  8. Hi, they have given me 2 R14 valves, 5 quick release valves, 3 double check valves, 1 sr-1 valve an a tractor protection valve. the books i have access to dont show a diagram in detail either. Grant
  9. Hello, thanks, i have looked at a few trucks, there all differant. and trying to back track hoses on a complete truck is hard to do. Grant
  10. Hi, ok theses things are nothing more than an absolute stress, I would rather build another Bat mobile Tumbler than deal with these confusing horrible things. I have been on the bendix site, I have a truck with all new components and no lines, I have got yellow button, red button, tractor protection valve, 5 quick release valves, 2 R8? valves 1 SR-1 valve one regulator(for gearbox I assume?) 1 treddle valve, 3x valves with 3 lines am unsure what these are at the moment, there only little. in the documents on the bendix site for the SR-1 valve it tells you all about the valve, then shows a diagram on next page with out it even in the diagram! why have the diagram? where do I find a detailed diagram with all these valves set up? and I mean detailed, put hose end A here on valve A port d etc that sort of thing. any info would be great. thankyou. Grant
  11. I second that! this has been the only message board I have been on where I am interested in coming back on, I dont come on saying things most of the time unless I need help or have something to help with, I have learnt quite alot on macks from this board, aswell as the trucks that I have stripped and the research I have had to do to convert a flintstone six cylinder twin stick to a 1970s R700 with a V8 and a 20 speed spicer, it has been a interesting build with current the brakes giving me more hell than the rest of the build. now with the gearbox, is it a ratchety type noise? I had an issue with a 18speed spicer and found if I did all the changes in neutral, it went quiet, I am not entirely sure on the 15 speeds, do they have a splitter (1/2 gears?) try all changes in neutral even the hi lo, dont pre select anything. regards Grant
  12. Hi, get it sand blasted, we do car bumpers here all the time. Grant
  13. Hi, its just a matter of time before i get it there, just waiting on things to happen there. I have sent a few cars to the USA that we have built here, and I all ready have my red coupe in Chicago, pic is in road train gallery, thats been in the USA since i lived there in 2005. its hard to over take tho. I doubt the emissions would be an issue as it will be compliant as the 1969 chassis, and engine is an 866. Grant
  14. Doubt I will work it, been right hand drive it would probly not met your legal requirements. mainly shows I spose? I drive alot of triple roadtrains down here so its set up for that sort of work, no triples over there yet. I would like to bring over a container side lift aswell, but dont have the money to gamble on that been able to work over there. Grant
  15. Hi, a 1969 flintstone converted to a 1970s R700 Grant
  16. Hi, give it time and mine should be there with in the next 6mths or so. it will be a triple road train rated right hand drive Mack R model. Grant
  17. Hello, there is quite a few going to that from here. if I get this running I may take it. am sick of throwing money at it at the moment, will throw it in the dog house soon if it bites much more :)I have hit 47,000 now. the pic of yours is pretty good, dont see them to often with a v8 regards Grant
  18. Hi, they do those out of Michigan to I think? from one section to another and straight road isnt it? Grant
  19. Hi, this vehicle pictured is what the dealer said was getting trialed in the USA now. and they were redoing the argosy for this purpose in the USA, I would say he was full of it as i have not found any info to back him up. in total these are 25 to 26 meters long. Grant
  20. Hello, B Doubles like one pictured? Grant
  21. Hello, thankyou, will work it, it is rated for 120ton so it can pull a triple road train. the gauges are all dakota digital and it should look interesting at night. it also has a tv,dvd, nav system in the dash. regards Grant
