  5. hello guys, Yep i have seen the same thing when being on holiday in Canada. At combined dealerships Mack/Volvo. Both signs were on the buildings Mack in small letters and Volvo in big ones. The Volvos were parked at the entrance and the Macks at the side or at the back! When you tell the man or woman at the front desk that you come to have a look at the Macks 9 out of 10. the first thing they tell you . Well we also sell Volvo. I guess it is the polici of Volvo headquarters to push the Volvo. I don't think customers like that. If they like the Macks they won't buy a Volvo. forever!!!!

  11. Hello Mack fans, Yes the F models with hi-rise sleepers were sold in Europe. There was a trucking company thet had an F model truck, they hauled fruit and vegetables. They had 2 drivers. and needed a double bunk. So a company made a high roof and put in the double bunk.not the ones you see in the pictures. The Mack dealer here in Holland brought the idea up to Mack in Allentown. They made their own design and the "high rise"sleeper cab for the F model was there. It was quite a succes, once there was a company that had 23 of them!! Some where in the "80's there was another european versin of the F model. it had a set back front axle. According to drivers it improved driving comfort and it did make less wide turns. Hope this info helps you. Greetings from The Netherlands
  12. Great picture! I had heard about B model school busses but have never seen a photo. Thanks for sharing it with all Mack fans.
  13. Wow cogratulations on your new truck!! great color and lots of chrome. Who said mixer trucks can't be nice? well good luck an fun with the new truck.
  14. great Mack's I like the stacks between cab and sleeper! And of course all the chrome. I guess you can make the modern Mack trucks also nice by adding chrome parts.
  15. Hello Bill, here in the Netherlands is a restored B81 which has a 335? HP detroit in with an Allison automatic transmission. I'm not sure but what i heared is that the truck was refitted with the Detroit engine just after a couple of months when it was new. It has always been used in the heavy haul. Later the same company did order 5 DM 600 trucks with an V12 Detroit 500HP. There is one restored and is still here in the Neteherlands. Boy do these trucks sound nice when they drive by!
