  1. can anyone else see these? Apparently i don't have the app
  2. why not post some pics
  3. pictures?
  4. Looks good. At least you know what you are starting with.
  5. How far from home are they?
  6. I think i agree but wasn't the 460xt a stock engine.
  7. Looks more like a Paystar to me
  8. Plugged the air line feeding the relay valve and she runs much better. Now i need to determine if the relay is messed up or the puff limiter is shimmed wrong. Didn't have that much time today.
  9. What are the specs on this replacement assembly?
  10. Tell us more... never heard of this option.
  11. Today verified correct injection pump and a p8 relay valve. Next i think will plug air line to relay valve and see what difference that makes. If it makes a difference then i will check the shimming of the puff limiter.
  12. CL has a heavier frame than a RD/CV. It also has a Much bigger hood. All were good trucks. Pre 02 emissions Should be a plus. What are the other specs? If i was contemplating another triaxle engine, trans, suspension, rear ratio, and wheelbase would be things i would be more concerned about than CL vs CV.
  13. How did this end?
  14. I"ve bought a 1987 Rd with an em6-300 Back around the first of the year. It doesn't pull down low like it should. it has OK power if you can keep it above 1700 rpm. But that ain't easy to do with a 6 spd. Before i dig into it i want to verify that it has the correct injection pump on it. It has a 313GC5163p2. I don't (yet) have a tune-up specs book for engines that new. So i was hoping someone here might have that info for me. Thanks
  15. There is something strange about the way we classify trucks. There are 5 classes between 10,000 and 33,000 lbs. and yet class 8 covers everything above 33000. This does not seem to be a useful classification system. These trucks cannot be expected to do similar work to say a 505hp double framed Mack with 58,000lb rears and yet they would both be class 8.
  16. I found my VIN amongst some old papers in the attic. Mack gave me part# 25163711. They want $111. I think this one by Hewitt is a close enough match for me at half the cost. https://hewittindustries.com/product/50-psi-boost-gauge/
  17. my 96 rd688 had the one i want but i don't remember my old VIN
  18. I want to add these items to my 87 RD but the guy at the Mack parts counter aint much help if he can't look it up by the vin.
  19. Also check or post here what are the axles e.g. rockwell, eaton, sshd, fl931. So someone makes sure it is up too triaxle duty and not a light speced tractor conversion( they were popular to do back in the day). If it does not have a double frame... run away.
  20. Mx13(505hp) and a 30+yr old Superliner (e9 500 hp) are running next to each other at the bottom of a hill. Does anyone really believe the Peterbilt will get to the top first? I don't think so.
  21. I went to what once was Reading Mack yesterday they didn't have this filter either It didn't show up in their system??? I have a question about this filter mine looks like it is upside down.. or is the petcock supposed to face up?
  22. Sorry no . i bought it. Been working it since last week.
  23. i know all about frame railsi in pa/ny trucks.
  24. No problem. I was looking at this one (more than a few hours south but it looks excellent) a couple of weeks ago but I got the one below instead.
  25. a little more info please. such as.. what kinda body( steel or aluminum and length/ height). I've got a nice Brockway only $13k.
