    I run 12r24.5 on the front axle of the brockway because they are the heaviest rated tire i can find for 22 inch hubs. However they are only rated around 7800 lbs apiece and the truck has a 18000 lb front axle. Was a 12.00x22 heavier duty? or maybe they had some other size when new. I would like to know

    Looks like i was wrong. Reo was part of White. I was confused because I remember them building diamond reos in harrisburg long after Volvo to over White.

    I never saw a Pete with an 8-bag or a KW with air-leaf or track. Frames were different too. I also don't think Diamond Reo was part of White/GMC.

    i think the original poster maybe meant 12.00X24. There is 12r24.5 but that is something entirely different.

    Are you currently using the tip turbine or the air to air intercooler? Personally i would go with a mechanical e7-350. they can be tweaked for little more power without worrying about the bottom end ( not so with the e6-350).

    I thought everyone liked wedge brakes. My daily driver has stopmasters up front. I think they are great .

    I would like to resurrect this old thread because i would like to do the same thing to my 81 rd. I have a couple questions. What is different about the radiators . Is it just the top tank or is it the core as well? Does the longer hood just bolt up or are the brackets different? Besides the cooler, hood, and radiator is there anything else i need. (i already have a air to air 350 to replace my 237).

    front spring trouble. Jensen and Mitchell has one $800 and that is without the bottom two leaves. That appears to be the going rate and nobody I called locally has one. Stengle bros said six weeks to get one. If anybody has a closer or cheaper source let me know. I thought i could just get the main leaf and wrapper replaced but i can't find anybody with one so far. It seems spring shops that actually make springs have become a thing of the past.

    I was looking in the wiki today. images seem to be missing. The topic is there ( king pin info) but there is just the description. the actual image/information is not there. is this related to the upgrade?

    I thought it had to be the same one because this one said it was in Pittston. Online auctions are my weakness. I'am going to pick it up today.

    I had one in my KW with a 3406b behind a rto14613. i thought it was great.... just the right amount of gears. I put new bearings the box maybe four years ago. cost me a couple hundred bucks. Don't remember where i got it but a kit was easy to find.

    That truck was at Macungie last year. Big cam cummins under the hood if i recall correctly.

    tore up the rear diff today. I won't know how bad until i get it out tomorrow. If anybody knows a source for rockwell srdd 6.44 ratio let me know

    If you are talking about the Seconds they sell at the factory store i would steer clear. They seem like a great deal but i never had any luck with them lasting.

    I' am going about the process of getting a PA title for my truck from a Connecticut BOS. Is the vin on a title the whole chassis number or just the serial number? Of course PA always wants to know the gcwr too and those things never seem to be stamped.
