Looking for a decent late 80s early 90s rm. Thanks, Chris
  2. I would doubt you'll find anything but 22" spokes for 65's
  3. Fire trucks don't put out fires!!! When looking at your fire protection don't pay attention to the trucks...pay attention to whats riding in them. Just my $.02
  4. I'd buy every one I could find!
  5. Thank you!!! I think we all get it! technology changes fast... thanks for the great job! Chris
  6. I don't get or can't see the pics in the threads? Anyone else having this problem???
  7. That AC was bought new by the City of Keene, NH. It was a city service ladder, it was then sold to Bellows Falls, VT where it was retired from fire duty. The truck sat at a ski area in BF for years before traveling to Worcester, Mass wear the front half of the truck became the bar at the firehouse bar near the Centrum. Glad to see it in it's current state. We have the mack delivery photo of it at the firehouse in Keene.
  8. I'd bet its the little line from the front head down to the back of the pump or the line between the 2 heads. Check the slip on connections they get rusty and leak. I've had the same problem on 2 early E7s. Start there its cheap and easy to check.
  9. Call John Holman, Holman Construction in Fitzwilliam NH. If you can't find his number call State Line Mack 603-585-6531 and ask for Gene in parts he will get you the number. John has at least 5 or 6 CF's kicking around for parts.
  10. Looks to me like some Dick Kemp photos in there as well. Some on the big dozers and one on the later model D4H. He told me about when they were doing 91 in VT they used to push the pans cutting the soft VT ledge...um that's without blasting it first!! I bet that would make the hair on the back of your neck stand up!
  11. That Messinger is beautiful! You just got it? I have a fair amount of engines myself... 20 HP Tittusville Olin being one of them, they run real nice. Nice collection of stuff.
  12. Boy you get a lot of pictures in Keene!
  13. This truck belongs to Bobby Lucious from Keene, he bought the truck new in '74 with a 237 6 speed. It now sports a tip turbine 350 with a 12 speed. That truck works every day all summer and has never had another driver...If you ask him about it he will no doubt reply "one more payment to go!"
  14. Just bought 2 PAI bottoms at State Line Mack in Fitzwilliam NH (best parts department in the world). For the month of May they are on sale for $90. call em up and ask for Gene.
  15. I like the looks of the shifter!!! I bet that thing is nice for cruisin.
  16. They also used a underhood air intake on some trucks which could be switched from the cab. This drew air into the breather from under the hood.
  17. They are made by Mirror Tech, Yonkers NY.
  18. Here is my RD 44K with my own grey color. And my daughter Riley at about 2 1/2 to boot!!
  19. There were many Econodyne 2100 RPM motors with 6 speeds built. Got nothing to do with hoods.
  20. Call Gene in parts at State Line, 603-585-6531 hands down best Mack parts department on the planet.
  21. Currently a 2070, but have a 12 speed to go in at the same time. Probably going to go with 4.64 or slightly lower rears. The truck is never on the highway. Thanks, Chris
  22. So my EM6-300L is pretty tired and I have purchased a donor truck with 100K on it and an early E7 mechanical. The receiving truck is an 88 and the donor is a 92 both RDs. I am looking for information as to what hurdles I will run into during my swap. I am also going to change the HP on the E7 from 250 to ??? something a little hotter. Any advise there? I plan to have the pump recalibrated and Rochester injectors, I'm undecided about what turbo at this point. I love my Maxidynes but its time to upgrade ... Any advise or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, Chris
  23. The Tanker was Peterborough NH, it got hit HARD in the left front corner by a drunk driver while returning from a fire. Insurance wouldn't total it and wouldn't put rails in it. May be worth looking at but I don't believe it drives straight. If anyone is interested I can get the inside scoop.
