This is rather short notice but I am trying to assist the estate of Vincent Jarosz of Newmarket, NH with the sale of Vincent's 1942 Seagrave. The family has lost storage due to foreclosure and has decided to resort to an auction sale. The engine will be sold Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 4PM at the Gary Wallace Auction Gallery, Rte 16, Ossipee, NH. The auction is unreserved. The engine is a 1942 War Baby which means that due to wartime needs for chrome, the truck was delivered with all painted trim, no chrome. Engine has a Pierce-Arrow straight eight motor with 2 spark plugs per cylinder. Vincent had just spent a rather large amount of money in 2012 first rebuilding the original motor which did not come out well, then buying a 1941 Seagrave with the same motor, and having that motor rebuilt. Engine comes with a large quantity of spare motor parts. Apparatus includes: bell, siren, warning lights, three ladders, three hard suctions, suction strainer, axe, pike pole, booster with tip and a full load of hose. The truck was restored about eight years ago. I am posting a couple of photos. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me at 781 983 1194.
