  1. I really wanted a Detroit powered Massey. And a Cat 3208 Oliver. But I'm down to just an F150 and a 5700 pound tandem trailer, so no way I could even haul them, LOL Even my Ford....I'm wondering if the rear wheels are loaded because it did some bad things to my new aluminum trailer that has a payload rating of 5700 pounds.
  2. Especially those old farming implements. There were MANY ways to die, LOL Thank God you got lucky there and your arm wasn't in that sleeve. Man, wouldn't you love to have that tractor and all those implements now! That would be worth some good money now. I have seen some of those mounted pickers at the Mecum Gone Farming auctions, mounted on Ford N series and Allis Chalmers. I always like when you see an old tractor with an old implement mounted. The guy I bought my Ford from had some plows and discs for sale, but they were all 8 to 10 feet wide. That's a little much to be hauling around to shows.
  3. That's a nice lineup too. That 5000 must have been a beast!
  4. I have new rear spin out rims for the Allis. The ones on it in the pic are all rotted around the valve stems. Just haven't had time to change them. I'm fearing how seized up all the locks will be. The Allis uses a lot of parts in their spin out rims. The Ford just has nice big heavy duty, simple lock nuts. I used some acid the other day to clean the rust off the rear rims. His dog kept peeing on them and they got some surface rust. But they came pretty clean compared to this pic.
  5. Thanks all. Ex trucker and his chicken lights, LOL I did find free manuals online. But I ended up finding a set of new prints in nice Ford binders so I ordered them. Someone on Yesterday's Tractors went through my VIN and said it is an early 1967 build with European fenders and floor boards. Told me it was built in Basildon England for export use, and they started to build it on January 27 day shift and final assembly was on Feb. 2
  6. That's going to be it's main thing now Mean Green. Tractor shows and parades. And the odd work day at home. The Kubota's will still be the every day working machines. I went and bought a top link for it today just so I can work it a bit. The previous owner I bought it from sent me a video of it on his farm pulling a set of discs. So she was a worker. A couple people that are real purists have already told me they hate the lights, but it makes me smile. I think it's a great parade tractor.
  7. Not sure what they came with FJH, I'm new to these models. But it is converted to alternator and 12 volt. Because it has a big round plug in the block where the tach drive used to be and now it has a unit on the back of the alternator that drives the tach. My 55 Allis CA is also converted to 12 volt with a one wire GM alternator. The guy I bought it from also has two restored David Brown 1200's.
  8. So a friend did some digging and told me it is not a 1974. He said it shows 1967, built by the day shift in Basildon England.
  9. Now I need help. What year and location of manufacture is this tractor? I'm told this is the VIN number....according to the VIN locator on TractorData. Looks like it says B061729?? So with the B prefix....is this a Belgium tractor?
  10. Made the 15 hour round trip yesterday and got my new to me Ford 3000 home! Runs awesome. No smoke or noises. Has couple marks but it was a working tractor. The seller showed me videos of it pulling 8 or 10 foot discs on his farm field before he rebuilt it. Just need to get manuals and a headlight switch for it. The knob is missing. Has a couple nice touches. The headlights have LED accent rings around them and it has blue LED lights that light up under the hood and the engine. Just have to put the toplink back on it and the light switch and tie up some wiring better.
  11. I love that!!! There was a single axle R model gin pole truck in one of my old Canadian Bulldog magazines and I always thought it was a cool looking truck.
  12. Maybe their phones work like the libtards electric cars? They just magically charge with free energy.
  13. Gotta admit...I always wanted a Mack/Renault Magnum with an E9. I was so excited when they started talking about bringing them to North America with the electronic E9. But then along came Volvo.
  14. Yes, and now E-logs and all the hoops you have to jump through to keep a license once you hit 60. I heard in Ontario here they want to make it so you have to do a 2 day coarse to renew your air brake endorsement. BS
  15. It's real handy. Only does 25 MPH, but has heat, AC, radio and hydraulics and a PTO, but I don't use that for anything. But it's nice hauling dirt around the yard. When I'm working on my bush road/walking trail it's a lot quicker hauling gravel than doing one bucket at a time with tractor. And I'm REALLY lucky I got it in 2020 before the new "covid" price went into effect.
  16. May have got myself a present too. Waiting to see if I am going to pick it up this week. Just made a verbal deal on a fully restored 1974 Ford 3000 diesel tractor!
  17. Still miss trucking though.....pre 2000 trucking that is. My hats off to you guys that can still tolerate the industry today.
  18. Thanks everyone. And happy Birthday Mechohaulic! Been a strong month for birthdays here. You're kinda right Joey. I was always a Mack guy and I'm stubborn and bullheaded. Wish I had more Mack stuff to contribute on the forum but these days, this is the only trucking I am doing. It does have chrome Grote mirrors on it though! Just need a set of 5 inch straight pipes now.
  19. It looks like a cell phone. LOL
  20. Happy Birthday Back in Black. I still worship your truck!! LOL
  21. Yes, the wiring may be a headache. But I don't know. I had a friend with a Sterling dump truck with a pre-DPF 450 Mercedes in it that blew up. So he got a Series 60 Detroit for it. You would think that would be an easy swap seeing as how they are all Daimler products. And it ended turning into a nightmare and he just ended up selling it all.
  22. That doesn't even register in my world. Just like how China holds the record now for the world's largest cranes.....I think they are called zoom lion or something like that? WOULD YOU WORK UNDER ONE?? LOL Liebherr or Zoom Lion......Hmmmm, which one should I buy?? Bahahahaha
  23. Just saw this today. The new wide cab Pete. As much as I was never a Pete fan, and I didn't mind small cabs, I think this is about the nicest of all the new design trucks out today. They did everything right here, unlike Kenworth's W990 abortion. Long ALUMINUM hood, EXTERNAL BREATHERS, and all the old styling but with the big plastic cab all the new generation wants. LOL
  24. How are the Scania's holding up?
  25. Sorry, got names wrong. The engine is now the S13 and the transmission is now the T14. No longer the Maxxforce/N13/A26, LOL
