  4. And here we are this morning. Both reports come from Mt. Washington one for down below and one for above the clouds. .....Hippy Valid for February 23, 2026 at 6:55 AM A significant winter storm will impact the Northeast today, bringing heavy snow and strong winds to southern New Hampshire, with much lighter snow further north. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour and winds gusting up to 50 mph are possible through the afternoon along the seacoast, leading to significantly reduced visibility, treacherous travel, and the potential for power outages and coastal flooding. Lighter snow is expected to move into northern parts of the state later this morning and continue through the afternoon. The more widespread snow is expected to shift out of the state this evening, with scattered snow showers lingering through early tomorrow morning. Snowfall totals will be on the order of a trace to 2 inches in Coos County(Northern NH), 1 to 3 inches across the Lakes Region(Central NH), and 8 to 12 inches further south. High temperatures today will range from the mid 20s to around 30 statewide, with overnight lows dropping into the teens. Skies will gradually clear tomorrow, with high temperatures ranging from the upper teens in Errol(Northern NH) to the upper 20s in Keene(SW NH). ▼ Summit Conditions* Wind Speed Wind Direction 10-Minute Gust Wind Chill 74 mph E (70°) 79 mph -32° F Temp RH Pressure Weather 2.3° F 54% 23.32 inHG Clear 24-Hour Data Precip Snow High Low Gust 0 in 0 in 11.4° F 0.6° F 82 mph Visibility (miles) 70 miles
  5. UPDATE: AccuWeather has changed the forecast here from 1"-3" to..... Winter Storm Warning Source: U.S. National Weather Service Start 7:00 PM Sunday, February 22 End 10:00 PM Monday, February 23 ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 PM EST MONDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Maine and central and southern New Hampshire. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 10 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...A snowstorm will bring plowable snow to the region with a period of moderate travel impacts expected. Periods of moderate snow and low visibility will be the biggest hazards. The potential exists for snowbands that will bring periods of locally heavy snowfall, which will lead to rapid snow accumulations and extremely dangerous travel conditions. Significant snowfall and periods of heavy snowfall rates will combine with low visibility to create very dangerous driving conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and break some tree limbs. The power outage threat is limited. And from the top of Mt. Washington today. 2-22 https://mountwashington.org/weather-cams/tower-weather-camera/ .....Hippy
