  3. 48* below freezing (-16*) here this morning at 0700. That just makes it sound colder. .........Hippy
  4. Frame style dump trailers are not to difficult to repair if they have gone over gently. A twisted frame can be saved with two large front end loaders. Raise the tub and block it up at a 45' angle, remove the piston, 1st loader puts down pressure on the tub over the tailgate to hold the trailer in place. 2nd loader comes in from the side over the 5th wheel plate on the high side of the twist. Chain from the 5th wheel pin to the bucket, roll the bucket back beyond what looks as if the frame is straight. Release the tension and check the frame, you may have to shorten the chain and twist it again. lf it looks correct put the piston back in and run the tub up and down a few times to see how it dumps. We did this several times back in the early 70's when l worked at a trailer shop. ............Hippy

  10. l always did my trucks every weekend. Jack the front end up and grease the pins, turn the wheel, grease and repeat. Two of the first trucks had manual steering so greasing them often made the day driving alot easier. ...........Hippy

  14. They sped that up from the one l saw. What a disgrace even for a steering wheel holder! Watch the exhaust stack on the truck hooked to the left trailer when he hits that one! Must have a limited endorsement licence, FORWARD ONLY! .............Hippy

  17. How about this? The ball is loose and floating around in the slot. It is the spring that is holding the shaft in place. Hard telling not knowing............Hippy
  18. He's not caught in the detent. It is stuck in the cut out at the end of the shaft. The pix of the cover turned over it's the lower shaft. Look at the right end and it is centered about 1.5 inchs from the end. Doug, Can you put a small bar in the linkage hole and maybe roll the shaft 180'? ............Hippy
