l remember these when they were building I-86 now I-84 from Hartford Conn to the Mass line. The railroad overpass east of what is now l-291 before it was rebuilt. You could almost remove your drivers mirror on the center support if you were in the left lane. The guard rail was bolted to the center support of the bridge. The freight haulers racing down the hill east bound at exit 100 before the rest area. OH ya! Back when it was fun. lol .....Hippy -

l read a book titled "The Hoffa Wars" a long time ago. At the end there were a few ideas as to were Jimmy Hoffa went after he disappeared. One thought he was put in a 55 gallon drum and shipped on a Gateway Transportation truck to an unknown destination. Wonder if this might be the truck they were talking about? .....Hippy

My son's ex Consolidated Freightways trucks, trailers, and dolly all have wedge brakes. Once repaired and maintained correctly they will work fine. When we went to the ATHS national show in Kentucky a few years ago with his COE Freightliner. He took a manual about wedge brakes and how to adjust them with us. ln case we ran into a DOT inspector that didn't know what they were. lol .....Hippy
