  1. Better to be in the nose of the trailer than hanging under the trailer. Picture somewhere of them beating ice from road spray off the door of the sleeper so the guy could get out. .....Hippy Found this one for the nose of the trailer. Hard to see but these two pictures are of a sleeper under a trailer.
  2. Wife and l turned Baltimore/Washington DC from NH and ME twice a week for two years. Our first truck we had was a '77 R600 with a 36" crawl thru. She got in first then l would fall in beside her. You both had to sleep on your side or it was one wide and two deep! ha Park the truck just so and the opening boot would leak if it was raining. Damn, missing the 'ol days when it was fun....... .....Hippy
  3. Rowdy be sure to look at all available info on these. Too many reviews that l saw were negative, both the machine and dealing with HFT trying to return it. There are a lot of YouTube videos about these and other brands. .....Hippy

  8. lt doesn't need to be in NC because it happens here in NH! We sit and listen to the police, fire, and rescue scanner and the calls are all over the place when it snows. And the schools get started closing on the 6pm news the night before the storm. Just looked at the weather on Mt. Washington NH at 0815. The temp is -13, wind speed 95 mph, wind chill -57 and in the past 24hrs a wind gust of 147mph. Hold on to your hat! .....Hippy
  9. l remember when l was a wee lad. They sanded the roads with a small towed spinner unit. lt was hung from the top of the tailgate with chains. The chains were adjusted so when the dump body was down it lifted the unit off the ground. Raising the body would let the small wheel(s) touch the ground. The spinner was driven by friction of the wheel under the spinner or a gear box. The guys would shovel over the tailgate and into the spreader. Couple of years ago there were three at the NH state auction. At the end of the top video (Portland Me.) there is one as the truck is driving away. Hard to see it in the shadows till it's in the sun light and only for a split second. .....Hippy
  10. Motorcycle Chariot Racing from Down Under LOL Some of the original Rednecks! .....Hippy
  11. Looks like it's been nice weather up there lately. Live cams are great to check out every now and then. Enjoy the view! .....Hippy mountwashington.org Didn't go as planned. You'll have to cut and paste, damn it!
  12. The yellow and white 143E with the Watkins (another fallen flag) placard must have been in NH. The car beside it has a NH inspection sticker on it. - l don't know if that isn't at Poor Boys at exit five off 93 -. The white 112M and 113M look to have Mass plates. .....Hippy
