  1. Very nice drawing, thought he just added the hump on the sleeper wasn't aware they actually made an F with that feature! European cabovers seem to be more imaginative, probably because Europeans are willing to drive them!
  2. I learn something new every day on this site! I think the bulldog would die of embarrassment without a third pedal!,however there are a lot of mack fire trucks with Allison's!
  3. Freightrain, before I forget my friend Bob asked if I had "talked" to you online, said I hadn't. On the subject of Jack stands when I was about 8,my dad gave me the safety talk which included always use Jack stands! One dude who was leased to the same company as me had a stainless steel cap on his skull complete with little Phillips screws all around it! Had a chevelle fall on him! His brother 5'7" 160 lbs lifted it up long enough for him to crawl out! Both of them were contractors, Bob was our agent. Another buddy of mine was in a junkyard removing a brake cable trying to save less than 20.00, car fell on him,he didn't make it! Fxfymn, my next door neighbor with a two story house was trying to get the logs started in his fireplace........With gasoline! We heard this sound like a freight train, looked over to see a three foot flame coming out of his chimney! Somehow he managed to not burn his house down!Lol as for the coke bottle deal I've heard the surgeons have a high speed drill to put a hole in the bottom to break the suction, but doesn't do anything for the embarrassment!

  5. Happy birthday Hobert!
  6. Dagotwit, I once delivered a new Ford cab and chassis to Alexandria, was waiting for a bus back to Pittsburgh had a couple hours so I went to a Japanese crab shack and got a plate of crabs and a pitcher of beer! Had never eaten fresh crab before and I was beating the thing to pieces with the little wood mallet they give you! The waitress took pity on me and showed me how to crack its shell!

  7. Just saw the Cayman Islands license tag, I'm coming too!
  8. Mack Tech, I used to weld coal barges on the monongehela river when it was -25 degrees, with water running down my arm! Having lived in Fla for 25 years we huddle shivering when it is 50! Lol So I know how you feel! There is a point where it doesn't feel any colder I think at about where you are! Assuming no wind is involved!
  9. Mrs,mack I'm guessing the Joey in question is the aux.. box behind the Clark main and not a boy kangaroo!Lol!
  10. Ksb I'm glad China has "seen the light" environmentally, but I suspect it has more to do with global image than concern for their citizens welfare! I spoke too soon about the envision, a lady at my grand children's school has one! I'll bet she doesn't know where it was built! I'm not disputing its quality, but there are similar sport utilities of almost every make and price range built in America and in countries where the workers are properly paid, why would you buy one made in China?,don't they already have enough of our manufacturing dollars? Having said that, I support her right to spend her money any way she chooses she lives in America! But I am one of the apparently dwindling few who still look at the packaging of a product to determine its origin I bought a pack of Bic pens today made in Taiwan!
  11. Forgot all about Art Bell! May have been him I was listening to about 3am near Uniontown Pa and he was talking about " The Republic of Texas" anybody remember that? According to some guy from Ohio, Texas never became a state "legally" and you could homestead someone's property because he didn't actually own it since Texas wasn't a state! Last I heard he tried to do that and was serving a little time!20 yrs lol
  12. Frenchy, I have a 2" thick novel " The year of the French" that describes those events!
  13. Dave, did you see the episode where Mike went inside the Mackinaw bridge with a maintenance guy to see how they maintain the plumbing and electrical lines that go through it! It never occurred to me the bridge was hollow!,but it actually is obvious!
  14. The movie "Updraft" was based on ODs incident, Clint Eastwood wanted to play OD but Steve McQueen got the part!
  15. Happy New year to all!
  16. Cool fleet! hippy half union, half non union lol!
  17. Ksb I'm glad China has "seen the light" environmentally, but I suspect it has more to do with global image than concern for their citizens welfare! I spoke too soon about the envision, a lady at my grand children's school has one! I'll bet she doesn't know where it was built!
  18. The grey looks a lot brighter than the stock colors I like it!
  19. Looks like the Cabover version of the Lone star! I like it!
  20. Mackey58, you're right!
  21. OD glad you're back ! Used to like seeing Pilot Mountain off Fancy Gap on 77, looks like a part of one of your wimmin!Lol, always liked Oklahoma! Lots of parking friendly folks! The lock on the side box looks like it came off the back of a dry van! Are they still painting Mail Pouch on barns? For about 40 years the same guy painted those barns! Merry Christmas to all you guys!
  22. KSB,ironically the first B model I drove was a 711 with a triplex 13 not 15 speed fairly rare, you didn't split 5th gear. Same color as sonny single axle with a rear tag dump body (converted single axle road tractor) I made it back from shopping alive have to go again!
  23. Wal Mart by the way, admitted to bribing local officials in Mexico to get their stores built!,in a totally corrupt nation it's the cost of doing business! I guess we're not TOTALLY corrupt! There is one of their stores built right over a black bear den 8 miles from here over multiple protests!..... hmmmm
  24. KSB, great minds think alike! Lol! You took the thoughts out of my mind word for word! When did entitlement become a bad word?! All of us who worked "on the books" paid into fica our whole lives! We are owed this money plain and simple! I have been apolitical my whole life, mostly because anyone beyond a drooling cretin can figure out where these rascals are coming from! (My apologies to drooling cretins) I keep hearing our "leaders" are getting ready to begin cutting social security!, and Medicare,we already have to buy "Medicare advantage plans" to cover the so called "doughnut hole" that medicare doesn't cover! Thereby enriching more effing insurance executives! And theyre gonna cut it?! I could go on all day, but one anecdote from about a year ago illustrates what I'm getting at! There was a guy in Tampa whose disability checks were cut off entirely he was obviously a lazy malingerer after all he still had one leg!! Should have gotten a job! My wife and I are fortunate to have enough to live on due to working all our lives Me since I was 11,her since 14! No big deal, there are thousands like us! If they cut our benefits we could live Frugally a couple years on our savings (I f some hacker doesn't steal them!) Barring any medical issues! Your correct about the class action! But it ain't gonna be easy! Wal Mart employees that they screwed in multiple stores nationwide, tried to create a class action, but our pals in the supreme court nixed it! I have have a personal connection to this for another time! Heavy Gunner, you're whole post is dead on! Gotta go shopping! Pray for me! Lol! Merry Christmas and happy New year to you all!
