  1. Hauling pigs! Even I can't add anything to that😁
  2. Timmy B, some executives would need a tandem axle to carry their wallets !
  3. Vlad, they built a PT Cruiser with a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine? I suppose this is only available in Europe? Or was since they aren't made anymore! I said when they first came out I'd love to wait 10 or 15 years when they were worn out and build a tubing frame to go under it to make it rear wheel drive with a v8 engine in the front! Teamster Grrrl the average teenager today can't even drive a stick shift, let alone assemble a bicycle!
  4. Is the " chain law" in for bikes in " the windy"😁?
  5. Mr Black I ran a MH 300 maxidyne and it seemed to have more than 300 hp Mack really nailed it when they engineered the whole maxidyne, triple countershaft series!
  6. Wow! Three of my all time favorite trucks pictured here! A 358 Brockway was the first road tractor I ever rode in! Pittsburgh to Chicago with a load of sheet steel,220 Cummins with a 15 speed Eaton "bogie" The driver was the guy who taught me to "split a triplex" when we both drove for a contractor in Florida. The MH is my favorite Cabover of the many different ones I've driven! All things being equal,if I had to choose between a B model to restore or a 358, I'd do The 358!
  7. It keeps getting "curiouser and curiouser" but we will see...still waiting for comments by my fellow contributors on on GM building a Buick in China! A Buick poorly rated by Consumer Reports at that!
  8. Mrs Mack Paul, I wonder what the msrp would be if the the buyer would opt out of the gold plating on the tray and the unobtainium plating on the engine?😁 Perhaps the price could be further reduced by including a Milton commercial tire gauge (made in Pennsylvania, not China 15.00) and deleting the unnecessary tire pressure monitoring system! And including a manual for the operation of the tire gauge for the mechanically challenged😁 including the health benefits of getting off your dead ass and checking your tires!

David, having p.u and delivered at many commercial poultry facilities I would opt for the chicken crap! 41,hopefully the few remaining inbred family of the Wesbrook Baptist church founder will join him soon!

General Ike, when the "defined benefit pensions" became common in the early part of the twentieth century most American workers union and non union were taught by their parents that you did a days work for a days pay! I have been a teamster, united steel worker, telephone worker, and member of numerous railroad trade unions.Among all these people I have met hard workers and lazy bums! You cannot indict any person because they are union or non union! At some point there was a general lowering of the collective work ethic in America period.
  11. As usual Teamster Grrrl, your points are well taken! While I agree in principle with many of Trumps "promises" most are half campaign rhetoric and the other half monetarily and politically impractical! While I would prefer a utopian world where all immigrants entered America like KSBs wife and many others in a legal manner,we are stuck with many who have been here for years that didn't.we don't have space in our overcrowded jails,or the money to deport the others! So give the ones who have no felonies a pass and have them report to processing centers and get an I'd card that will make them legal to work till they become citizens.Have them report annually until they become citizens with instant deportation the penalty for not reporting on time! Find the money and personnel to deport the criminals! Having said this establish a date for these procedures and deport anyone still here who doesn't comply! I suspect that most of those who are here illegally would be happy to begin life "out of the shadows" and work towards citizenship! After the established date Double the personnel and efforts to deport any new illegals and make all new prospective citizens go thru the previous procedure to become citizens!Yeah, I know it isn't fair, but neither is life! Also find a way to make Mexico help police our borders maybe a head fine on illegals! Or a tax on Mexican companies profits on the products they export here! Bet the companies wouldn't be as easy as we are on their " fellow citizens" if it affected their profits!

  12. Mrs Mack Paul, the little Kia looks like the ideal utility vehicle! (The worst kind of ridin' beats the best kind of walkin') and that truck doesn't even come close to the worst kind of riding😁 however the "roo guard" might need a bit of reinforcing!
  13. Keith,that A 40 has all sorts of potential! I can picture a 5.9 with a 10 speed r.r ( bolts right up) or a 4 by 4 if you can find one!
  14. I prefer T bird it has a more subtle bouquet 😁 Made me sicker as a teenager than ODs Volvo add! But for the true connoisseur there is always Boones Farm apple!
  15. Stuck in one what?😁
  16. Teamster Grrrl, on the subject of Chinese junk, Consumer Reports, which mostly evaluates yuppified electronics b.s. did a road test on the Buick Envision and they prefaced The report with CHINESE built Buick Envision! The italics are mine, but they seldom mention where a vehicle is made! Not surprisingly the car got poor ratings! A compact suv with a 45k price tag! I believe this is the first American badged car built in China! Even if you didn't care about made in America, there is NO reason to buy a Chinese built car! There is a full selection of reliable competitively priced cars in every category! Admittedly in the late 70s to early 90s many American cars had half ass build quality, and the Japanese cars were more reliable. The American carmakers have seen the light and are building reliable cars now! Even the majority of foreign carmakers have models built in America! GM quietly slipped the Envision on us and if we buy it pretty quick they will all be built there! This is one of the few times where we actually have a choice! They want to see if we will buy it! And I predict that the average asshole American consumer (the same ones who buy all the Chinese power tools ) with the iconic names like Milwaukee and Rockwell will buy it! I am going to keep an eye on this car built by exploited workers paid subsistence wages in a polluted country to see it's long term reliability! Comments please!
  17. Around 2000, my youngest son had just graduated from college and was an "assistant paint manager", salaried of course. He worked for Lowe's in Gainesville Florida. When the lower paid managers worked over 40 hrs they received less than minimum wage per hour! They jokingly called it "Chinese overtime" this went on for several months, and one payday he received a check that was much larger than he expected! He asked his manager what was going on and was told that someone had sued Lowe's and the the extra money was the difference between what he was paid and what he should have been paid legally! Lowe's of course tried to keep it quiet and just "slip" the employees their money! I predict we will be hearing a lot more on this issue in the future, This has the potential to affect the big employers (exploiters) like Wal Mart heavily!
  18. The idiot who killed the wrecker driver in Tampa Bay was drunk of course!
  19. Carlotpilot, of course they won't mandate this for motorists! Legislators drive cars! If they did half the motorists would be forced off the road! One more examples of reckless stupidity behind the wheel, another wrecker driver was killed while assisting a motorist in the Tampa Bay area yesterday! That's three this year!
  20. Around 1983 when I was driving for a Ryder systems customer one of their MH Mack tractors leased to Coleman campers hit a KW Cabover head on in a one lane restriction in a Pa Tpke tunnel ! They were doing 35 mph! The KW driver was killed instantly, the Coleman driver was seriously injured but lived! Mack was so impressed that the driver survived such a terrible collision that they sent some engineers to the Pittsburgh Ryder terminal to view the wreckage! The KW was aluminum and the Mack was reinforced fibreglass. Of course safety technology has improved exponentially since 1983 with crumple zones, high strength steels etc. Volvo cars have always been among the safest autos you could buy I'm not surprised that their trucks are safe also!
  21. Why get rid of a good thing?
  22. OD,I've only seen one Lonestar I think they are the best looking new American tractors! Did your wife bring you a beer right after you tried to burn her trailer down lol that's a shame about all your stuff! The last time I returned a craftsman ratchet(after I clamped it in a vice and put a pipe on the handle) they "rebuilt" it with a new ratchet mechanism unlike when they handed you a new one! That coil rack might work real well on a telephone pole!😁 If they try to screw you on your insurance claim don't take the first offer if it looks too low! Some insurance adjusters bonuses are based on how much less they pay you than a fair amount! Unwritten of course! Good luck!
  23. Ksb,what is the legal gross weight on Brian's 11 axle rig? What is the approximate empty weight?
  24. Teamster Grrrl ,ADMIT that The Twinkie I bought was smaller than they used to be as a result of your pension😁
