  1. Funny you ask, I saw it twice last week and once this week, two times on the 401 and the other time going down #6 towards Hamilton. Sharp truck thats for sure, one of the company drivers called me on the radio to to tell me it was heading my way on #6. My Rw was built with a lift, I took it off though. North of the Sault, EH! We haul roll offs out to algoma sometimes, with our backhaul out of Kirkland Lake, some fun in my RB! Im from Kapuskasing(val rita) IM LOOKING FORWARD TO MY RETIREMENT UP THERE!!!! bobo

    Steer Tires:

There was a push on them up here for awhile. I have used the 425 steers They are very soft! Ride good but don't last especially on a 20 front. The price here for a 425 is 550-600cdn, and a 12r steer about 250-300. There are black and round and not a bad tire for the price, but if you can afford something beter then spend the cash. No one around here will accept the the casings here for recap credit. Not really a good tire for my line of work(industrial scrap) some of my fellow brokers have run them as well we all agree. Bobo

    happy Bday bubba! Bob0
  11. Happy Bday Big Mack Barry!
  12. Up here, the MR is common. Most with 20 fronts,. I've pdi and worked on a few. I really don't think you could put a sleeper on it, especially the new ones with the 10 tons of exhaust Bullshit on it! But duct tape and ply wood go a long way. Bobo
  13. You minght get lucky on the front, some older front stud pilot hubs had the centering ring need for hub pilot rims. The rears will have to be replaced for sure. B0ob
  14. Nice trent! I just got done the superliner dash, will be installing it tonite. I will get some pics. I sanded the dash smooth and painted it mat/flat black. the gauge panels are going tobe powder coated gloss or semi-gloss black, guages are auto-meter. bobo
  15. does it have a filter? they are plumbed on the return side it could be plugged? did you check the vent? bobo
  16. Didnt think it was a Hayes, cab is close but hood and fenders are wrong. Mack at 1 time owned Hayes, there is a company(earl paddock transport) up here that uses KW, but every truck has the bear on the hood(im sure 386 you have seen them), the old man owned a hayes dealership here and started trucking after it closed. bobo
  17. "There is 1 cross member about 16 inches in front of the crack. It is just behind where the mounting bracket is for the dump body ram. On the other side of the crack, going towards the back, there is a cross member about 2 1/2 feet behind crack." No matter what you do, or how you go about fixing the problem. IF YOU DONT put cross members in the right spot over the lift, IT WILL CRACK AGAIN! doesnt matter if you replace the rails, fish plate, put inner rail and or weld. SO spend the money fix it right, spend more money to prevent it from happing again! DONT PUT THE CARRAGE IN FRONT OF THE HORSE! THINK ABOUT WHAT MADE IT CRACK NOT JUST HOW TO FIX THE CRACK! BOBO sorry not trying to beat a dead horse
  18. Good to know! its got an E9 too! just double checking, like i said only ever pulled tranny out of RB's and the floor has to be removed to get at it! bobo
  19. hey did ya get your computer issues worked out or still hitting the libary? Have you got a Lowes store in windsor or london? they have a great stainless nut/bolt dept. I get all my clips and most of the hardware there. The matts I got from Stoney creek Mack. I just redid my brake and fuel pedels, I put grease zerks on any of the pins i could, and a long zerk in the treadle housing, so I can lube the piston. I lined the whole cab and floor with Ice and water(roofing membrain) Any photos of your progress? Check lowes first before hitting 401! You still gotta goto K&R one of these days? bobo

    Lash Rings:

We use "D" rings up here for running chains through for the securing of roll-off/lugger boxes on our trucks and trailers. roll-off boxes up here get loaded up to 26.5 tonn when put on 4 axle buggies. I've never had a ring break, bent a few if load shifted though! You say, you can weld(just joking), make sure the hold down is welded good and in the spots you will mostlikly use them, and go with the biggest "D" rings you can. One big "D" is better than two broken small ones 0bob
  25. They are demoing the Oakville plant as we speak! RIP bobo
