I am on the second f 150 first was v-8 6 speed 3-73 rear my 2018 is a v-8 10 speed locking rear 3-73 heated seats and a lot of other stuff I don't use. The newer truck gets about 2-3 miles a gallon more than the older one. I wanted the extra cab so I ended up with short beds but if I have anything longer I use my trailer.

I was on vacation up to Mt. Katahdin camping and we drove up into paper company lands and there is not anyway you could place another log on the trucks that run the golden road. The triaxles had bunkers higher than I see around my area you gave the trucks the right away it was their road.

In the last two fleets I was in charge of I used union 76 15-40 I had real good results.

My teacher at caterpillar engine school had a conniption if you spoke of any oils other than 30 weight in the summer and 10 weight in the winter but that was 40 some years ago.

I don't remember a d-8 scaling that much with a 4 barrel ripper and a ublade now the d-9 was a bit more weight but I loaded a 9 with u blade and 4 barrel ripper on a tandem autocar with a two axle trailer .I don't remember anymore but the outfit was pretty big around wilkes barre and up tword the Scranton area. Kamminsky would haul anything that would fit on the trailer, Pegnotti had a hellof a mack to drag around real heavy dragline buckets and large shovel parts.If I remember from working at cleveland bros. the 8's didn't get to 50 ton even filled up coming in from a stripping pit but that was in the 70's so i may be off a little. . My boss had a john deere lawn mower tractor and it had a pressure fed oil system Kawasaki engine it ran for years cutting a large lawn never used a drop of oil. Way better then it had to be for the mower was not that expensive. I have husky blower, chainsaw, pole saw they are over ten years old the saw is a pro model and it cut a lot of hard wood. But I have the pro model stihl climber saw that is just a rip roaring little saw that thinks it's twice as big as it is.

30 years ago I would help out a friend of mine he had a small car repair shop and if he took something in that stumped him I would get a call. He used napa parts almost exclusively the stuff was very good back then but the old story today the part quality has dropped to the point I shop anywhere but napa.

Sears was a one stop shop i have a reissue of an old sears catalog and it is amazing the verity of goods you could buy from them. Back in the day my gram said you didn't travel distances like we do now so you ordered your stuff from sears or Montgomery wards.

My uncle Andy believed in everyone got involved I was to small and weak to throw the bales up on the trailer so I drove and god help me if I ran into a woodchuck hole and lost any bales off the trailer. A lot of good memory's were made on that dairy farm for a young lad.

That's going to be too nice to drive around your going to have to get another one to bum around in.

I always checked if the brake canisters were leaking anytime there was an air leak problem I had fittings made up I could block off the lines it really helped diagnosing air problems. the treadle valve placement was a real pain on some truck manufactures. I liked Mack you could take up the floors and get to things, the other trucks were made by people that never turned a wrench

That should pull quite well I wanted to buy a 285 or a 300 for my B but the engine was stuck from setting so I ended up with a 260 hp. and what a difference driving the truck down the road.

To bad i was looking forward to that show Steve. We just had a car show at the bowling alley sunday it went well and there will be one down in pikes creek park week after next a lot of people I conversed with at the show are sick and tired of wolf and his crony

I have a 3.90 rear in my b model and a double over triplex and on 81 I can cruse 75 mph. It helps I have a larger hp. engine than the old end673
