  1. I'd love to have a chrome grill like the one on this beauty.
  2. I just gave a call to cooks and the mack number and gunite number is no longer available and that 8668x number didn't show up.
  3. Thank you for the info. Why is it still listed as a 673 when the 675s and 676s were out all ready? Would it have something to do with the torque rise of the engine?
  4. I got an odd one in my truck etz673 came out of a mack fire truck 2100 rpm 260 hp. plate says made in 1980
  5. I was shone how to change a tire while it was still mounted on the truck it saved time when dealing with lift axle wheels.
  6. I used one somewhat like that almost 6 days a week i don't miss tire work.
  7. That b still a hand crank? I help my buddy hay and he has 3 b's, an a and 50 and a 60 thats what we use to get the hay in i like the sound of the old jd's.
  8. Deep fry that bat up and give it a new name and it would be just like chicken wings come up with some different condiments to dip it into everyone would want them.
  9. I went fishing today first time in two years i got the old fart discount for a life time license. Sat in the boat for 5 hours and no bites not even a bluegill but it wasn't a total loss i caught a boat dock and one tree. Maybe the fish saw i didn't have a mask on and they didn't want to chance getting this vires. Next time i'll wear a mask and rubber gloves.
  10. Kirker was the paint mack used they still have mack paint in acrylic and synthetic i don't know about any imron but be very careful painting imron easy paint to use but very bad for your health if not used in the right environment.
  11. If i didn't have my rentawreck i would be compelled to run right down and buy that truck .
  12. When i was running my 50 ford pickup i did a complete overhaul of the engine bored cylinders new lifters and valves and so on i filled the engine with 15/40 union 76 oil same as what went in all the trucks in the fleet at work that was 20 years ago and that truck is still running. I think you are over thinking this oil thing back in the day the owner had little choices for oil as long as you get something with molly in it for what your doing with the truck it should be ok. I read a web sight about can am spyders and if people were all in one place there would be a fistfight over what oil to run in their spyders same thing on the Harley Davidson sights. Just remember oil back then was not the oil we use today. At cat school i spent some time on oils for engines and hydraulics cat called for 10w. in the winter months and 30 w. in the summer months. Cleveland brothers used Drydene brand oils.
  13. Only an" adult "would come up with a statement of such bs to justify screwing you out of a little more of your money. It is beyond the pale what companys will create to be able to pay their ceo's salary's.
  14. I just got off the phone this morning with Hagerty ins. and i got it set up when my coverage runs out with gulfway twenty eight dollars cheaper for the same coverage and no aggravating bs. Happy!
  15. Anyone get a letter from Gulfway saying they were using Travelers ins.? Now they want to switch to Hagerty ins. I did an on line app. i wanted to see what their price would be and i was quoted nine dollars less than Gulfway. I just hope this doesn't turn into a pain in the butt like most things end up ?
  16. No in Kingston Pa.Next town to Wilkes-barre Pa.
  17. I had a 292 built by s&s speed shop and i put it in a toyota fj45 long wheel base landcruzer pickup had plenty of power i always liked straight six engines gas or diesel.
  18. They had a cat wheel dozer down to a power plant i use to fix cat equipment at it was about a 988 with a really wide blade pushed coal around. Martins creek power plant down by Bethel pa.
  19. I spent time in an mr front load packer and it was ok it didn't ride any worse than some of the junkers i drove. i had to drive an int. triaxle flatbed with rubber block hendrex suspension that was ruff when empty.
  20. There is an engine show in banger pa. and a guy had one like that one with a 427 under the hood he said it was factory i liked it but i wouldn't know if he was pulling my chain.

  23. Everyone that rode in my b model hates the passenger seat and i don't blame them i had it reupholstered and it just is not comfortable. I was up looking threw the junk yard and i found a 915 mack low back drivers seat looks pretty good shape will it be low enough if i mount it on the floor? And will it move back enough to give some leg room? My cousin is 300 plus and he is going to go with me down to Gerharts. I would like to have something better for him to set on it is a ways down to Gerharts.
  24. For 10 years i took skippy my poodle? to work with me everyone knew skippy i went to a local dinner for lunch and Mark would say i put in a little extra for skippy don't go eating his share. When i go to places i'm always asked about skippy. One day i was up to cooks and tom says we are cooking hotdogs don't leave so i stayed, out comes a hotdog and right to skippy it goes none for me i knew were i stood.
