  1. Thanks to all that replied. I guess I'll try radials up front and bias on rear.
  2. I need to purchase tires for the ole "B". I'm going to be running tube type aluminum wheels. What is the pro's and con's of bias vs radial tires. Anybody have any suggestions. Good day, Rick.
  3. I have posted some new pic's of the cab when it came out of the paint shop, pic's are in my gallery.
  4. those screws part number 103AX105 are anti theft screws. will have to cut them off or find a BFS to catch the screw and back them out.
  5. tip turbines are getting very hard to find and getting very expensive.
  6. If you have a 1985 RW Superliner, use serial number RW613-1515. I built this truck in 1985 and it had factory dual exhaust. But, RW613-1515 had an air ride cab, it came standard with free standing muffler brackets bolted to the frame. i'm assuming you dont have air ride cab? Have your local Mack dealer show you the exhaust arrangement for the above truck that i mentioned and see if it will work for you. Good Luck.
  7. you have to disable the low water level sensor with the computer @ the mack shop and pray that there isn't a password logged. if there is a password you have to get the old owner to give that to you.
  8. i think he is kenny chesneys boyfriend. he drives a 13.2hp 4x2 series craftsman lawnmower w/o hydro-stat drive, painted yellow and green to look like a john deere.
  9. it looks to be a six speed which has a 1 to 1 last hole. if you can post the 11kb number that is on the case then we can identify it.

  13. come to oklahoma we have had these temps for last 30 days or so. its summer time. you cant control it, dont worry about it. i guess its these clean burning diesel engines that is helping with the global warming. just think, in about 6 months everyone will be gussing the snow. we are never pleased. good day
  14. i have a end673 and i used a fram filter and it comes with a new seal. i have not had any leaking problems with this setup. fram part #C1164PL, the original mack part # was 43SB30. maybe your top lid is warped just alittle bit.
  15. the main difference is the size of frame rail and the capacity of higher axle/suspension ratings from the factory on the DM models. the DM had bigger frame rails and came with camelback springs as standard equipment and the option for heavy frt/rear axle and supension setups.
  16. you are correct. but, in his sentence he noted that you split each hole and that is the old trtxl1070 or 1070b. in a six speed you do not split.
  17. the transmission is depended on what engine concept you had, whether a maxidyne or econodyne. if the latter was selected than you had a mulitple of transmissions(multi-speeds) available. the maxidyne concept utilized the high torque rise enabling the use and simplicity of a 5 or 6 speed. the transmission model you were talking about was the trtxl-1070 ( or trdl-1070. the smiling face should have been a B
  18. AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are alot of those around. Should take around 60 days for warranty to accept or deny the claim.
  19. around here that should sell for about 12 to 15k.
  20. the pryometer has always been a option when a new truck was ordered. can be installed rather easy. take the pipe plug off the turbo pipe. install the thermocoupler, run the wires to the gauge in dash. use existing 2" hole in dash or cut out a hole. do not cut the long lead wires. wrap up the excess and put a tie strap around and secure. if wires are cut, the gauge will not read right. mack dealers sell a complete kit. im going on memory that part # was 1MT19320A.
  21. my numbers are fuel--c1164pl fram oil-c164e-fram-its a luber-finer 500c
  22. if your hose from the tank to fuel supply pump is straight, try and put a loop on the hose to keep it from draining back to the tank. it doesnt cost anything to try.
  23. On the parts side please carry your model & serial number with you to the mack parts counter. To the counter that is the bible. But, please remember that after 40yrs. components do get changed and does not represent what the chassis was built with. Know what components you do have and ask questions. Life will be easier.
  24. i have posted pics in my gallery photo
