  1. I dont think Swift will take over the dump truck operation and things like that. Give em a call and ask ?
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1962-mack-B61-camelback-suspension-/220939233218?pt=Commercial_Trucks&hash=item33710127c2 Looks like some clean parts like dorrs and cab? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1954-Mack-Model-B61-/330676411691?pt=Commercial_Trucks&hash=item4cfdd99d2b Little B67 in CT , good project
  3. Real trucks have spoke hubs..
  4. Did the FDNY auction off their old trucks?
  5. Yeah I got no where on trucking like I was saying. I got 1 bid on uship to haul it. Maybe il just buy your truck outright if I can get enough. Right now its sitting at 5k , but I just started the auction late this morning and ive had 3 phone calls and a couple emails. Thanks for the zero feedback advice, I read a few things online about cancelling zero feedback bidders. Ive watched the truck in CO , the LJ that some guy with zero feedback ran the bids up to 14k , then they guy had to relist it. Mark I want a truck with a sleeper (i hope someday), even a small one so my wife and kids dont have to follw behind me in a trail car to shows. Its gets expencive driving like that.
  6. I think I did Rob, I didnt want to scare anyone off with a crazy price. I hope it goes up to get most of my money back and it will make a great truck. If not , then il keep playing with it.
  7. Nah il bet its sold, what a deal!
  8. Its has been a hard time thinking over and selling it. I know ive got a gray hair for a fact. We have thought the idea of a portable car port but we dont have the room to add it and ive looked into storage units , 325.00 a month to keep it stored inside one of those. The Mack stays in the garage. And the insurance company requires it. If it doesnt go then I will be ok with keeping it I want to still do a couple more things to it before the truck shows start back up. Just wanted to see if theres any intrest so I could find a older one to bring back to life. Like some of you know I have more time into it (labor) than parts and things. Its been a fun one and the most reliable truck I have ever owned. So im sure id hate to see it go, well see what happens.
  9. David I like that one!
  10. If someone wanted mine id sure use you to haul it bigen from CO back east. Rob , you talking about the R model you bought out this way ?
  11. You guys are funny as hell and speak the truth

  13. Id be a buyer also, for the back window of our Honda and Jeep
  14. What kind of Dodge are you hauling it with ?
  15. We have been kicking around the idea with my wife and a few of you guys on selling the U model to be able to buy another Mack to work on. This forum's been great to get help with working on it and all and its right where I like to be. I'd like a new truck to work on and bring back up to spec. with you guys. Ive talked with Rob about it and I dont have room for more than one at a time also. Would any of you guys be interested in it? Id rather have someone here get it and enjoy and see the time and care I have spent in it than toss it on Ebay for the world. Ive been thinking hard for the last week or so on doing this. Id like a older Mack than the U to bring back and get on the road. If noones interested or it doesnt sell then id be happy to still give it a home, id still like to put Mack mudflaps back on it and buy those marker lights from Watts to make it look better. Oh , Rob,Vinny, David, Mike, Mark , and others who have seen and said things about paiting on it. I painted the recessed part on the hood from Black back to Green. Heres a few pictures from the day I got it and ones from yesterday.
  16. Wasnt a guess of 11k lbs , it was on a scale. I wanted to make sure everything was in order for the drive home to NC from PA. A B61 will weigh alot more than a B20. Thats pretty cool that they dont weigh much , maybe il need one. Then I wont have to worry about all the street signs saying no trucks over 10k. My U609 weighs in right at what a B61 does according to the spec sheet, I havent taken that one on a scale yet.
  17. You can pick em up on Ebay and they arent very expencive. Thats cool that Mark noticed the two were for team drivers. Not sure on a tandem but a S/A B61 like that should weigh in around 11k lbs empty. Mine did on the scales.
  18. Yes the sleeper cab is an early one with the windows on the sides earlier part of the 1950's, and they are pretty rare BUT dont think they are like $5,000 trucks unless the whole trucks complete and in real nice shape. We saved one like it for $1,000. But it depends on where and all that to get a value. It should be saved. It looks and at the same time doesnt look like an integral sleeper. Can you post some more close up pictures of it? Open the pass door , look at the bottom part and ger the VIN number , that will nail it down for sure on the year and so on. Where are you located?
  19. Yeah I wasnt sure what to make of it Vinny
  20. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1962-CUSTOM-MACK-B61-ROLLBACK-/230734454400?pt=Commercial_Trucks&hash=item35b8d85e80 That tilt nose sure is something.
  21. They were in a class of their own in the looks dept.
  22. Now thats funny!
  23. What you figure the trailers worth by itself?
