  1. They are Goodyears and spoke hubs. Its a 66' east coast Mack. Im going to take the PSI to around 70- in each tire and see if that works. They are all around 70-80 psi right now. Just didnt know if 10 psi in one tire and 80 in another tire would do that. Also , I dont pull trailers ... yet. I just dont have one or a place to keep it. The drums are good, I looked them over today , Jay
  2. Ive read about the Tall Boy's , havent read the whole Corbitt one yet. They remind me of the 40's Pete's .
  3. I thought about this thread the other day. I put new rear tires on my Mack and I get a hop at higher speeds. like 50 and up. They dont wobble. Would 10 lbs of air diff in a tire vs. another one cause mine?
  4. That R model is one of the nicest older ones I have ever seen.
  5. o.d. , as long as your having fun doing it.
  6. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1924-mack-ac-/110774159797?pt=Commercial_Trucks&hash=item19caa789b5 Figured someone would think it was a good deal?
  7. Rob will have it sold in 5 minutes ha ha.
  8. Well Rob , guess Macks calling your bluff at the museum lol.
  9. Rob you artist , Im not wanting a real bright red but a color brighter than Fire Engine might work. Thats about 3rd or 4th on the list of things to do to my truck next.
  10. Im looking to do the same to mine, I was going with a Fire Engine color. Good point about buying quality paint.
  11. The orange one is a DM ?
  12. Every guy on here shifts a little diff. and has a trans. they like more than another lol.
  13. Ah its a 41' to boot! What a rare one lol
  14. Ive always like the F model day cabs
  15. Makes you feal good about yours dont it?
  16. Thanks for the info for the Mack Museum , I sent them a letter about 8 weeks ago and didnt hear anything back.
  17. I noticed the other trucks too Mark , Maybe a yellow Brockway or Mack behind it.
  18. Its a alot older than a 70's. Do you have all the things missing off it? If not is the price neg? Id say its a little high but if the trucks real solid and not rotton then thats a huge plus.
  19. Thats funny, I just found the same ad on ebay and was going to post it. But the whole CD , im sure theres tons of good ones.
  20. You can see it from the US. I had to re - watch it, Looks like 1 high , 2 high , 3 high, 4 low , 4 high , 5 high , right?
  21. He's a memeber here also. I run a 9 speed duplex too , empty pretty much goes , 1L or 2L , 3L ,4L , cant use 5 L , 4H , 5 H pretty much does the job.
  22. Little known fact, Gatorade made canister oil filters, that ones about empty but a nice rare option ahahaha
  23. It was used for a low boy operation from what I heard if I remember right. It doesnt have a bunch of things changed out and upgraded. Since this topic came up I see the Hall Scott engines arent as rare as I thought but still are a rare engine. It just comes down to if your a LT fan or not. Its pretty ovious he wont get what he's asking and im sure he will understand that in the next few weeks or so when it doesnt sell. If he would settle with maybe 5 or 6k as a buy it now il be it would sell. I dont think anyone that saw he wanted about 9,000 for it would bid on it at 2,900 with a reserve.
  24. The Mack Museum would be a great place to get your year of mfg. , manuals, data sheets, and things like that. Its great knowing all the history of your truck when it was new.
  25. Wow, ive never see the Carolina B model move. The Thurston White won best of show at the ATHS show back in July. Looks like it was a real good show!
