  1. We had two RD dumps at my previous job, both were bought new in 2000. They are 460/18spds, the power band of those engines is about as narrow as a two stroke Detroit... Nothing like the mechanical torque monsters . Just say no to those newer ugly ducklings...
  2. I'd rather an R model any day over a CH, but that's me. Your current engine mechanical?
  3. These old Macks are good for starting like that . Have fun!
  4. I saw on Facebook pics of fleets of V8 powered DM800's over there! Where do they get engine parts to keep them going?
  5. Pulled my shutters out, want to clean them up and paint the steel brace that holds them in. Don't want them super polished, but they do need some cleaning up. Any good idea's?
  6. I was told the early 205HP engines are the same as the END's internally, just different pump settings. I was asking some questions to a few older Mack mechanic's recently as I was thinking about adding a turbo to mine as well. They said don't over fuel it and beat the hell out of it and I'd be fine. I'm still on the fence about it...
  7. Nice truck to restore, looks all there!
  8. What a sharp looking truck!
  9. How's the Mack scene in Nigeria, any truck show's?
  10. "61-up Ford cab for sure, or N series.
  11. LOL, figured it was that truck as soon as I read the title!
  12. Rebuilt 671 Detroit Diesel, runs great! Fuller RT910, very solid truck overall. Needs a cosmetic restoration...Have a rare exterior cab visor and a Jake setup available at extra cost. $3500-, sold with GA bill of sale due to the year. Located in Northeast GA.
  13. Yeah, frame rails are REAL nice on this truck.
  14. Few more...Truck had four new Bridgestone 11R24.5's across the back with little use on them.
  15. More pics as requested...
  16. There'd still be a Dodge/Jeep, somebody else would have bought them for sure. It's a shame though so many people have bought products from companies on that list(me included) "thinking" we're supporting the a US business
  17. WOW, that list is unreal. Makes me sick....
  18. 375 is a Thermodyne though.
  19. Sent you guys a PM, let me know what you have to deal with. Maddog, get some cash up and make me an offer
  20. I have the same thing happen time to time, on a few different computers with heavy anti virus.(all checked out clean!)
  21. I asked about longevity a while ago, as I've always heard/seen Mack engines go "the distance" to say the least! http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/30395-old-mack-longevity/
  22. Wonder if it's an ACAR cab or a copy?
  23. I've driven plenty of both, would have to say the CAT's made gobs more torque also.
