    I'd love to Ray,but just couldn't do it to a perfect frame and nearly all original truck.I figured with a vintage tag axle it'd be period correct and I could remove it if I wanted.Just tossing idea's around...By the way,are those Mercury's hard to find???

    Some "other" brands I've came across down here in GA!The 358 Brockway is an early one with a 200 series dash,nice truck has a 13 speed but didn't pop the hood.The 361 is an EX O&G from CT!It has a 1674 CAT/13RR,clean truck.The owner is fixin her up to run again!The little IH is down the road,it's an 1110 V8/auto.I hope to make an offer on her,VERY solid truck with minimal rust.

    I hear ya,i've seen many a hacked frame.I just thought it would look cool,and be a neat "period correct" add on.If I did put one on it would be done right,as my frame is perfect and i'm super picky.I trust your judgement though more than most when it comes to B's,you don't miss a damn single detail when looking at a truck!

    There are a bunch of trucks running daily down here from the "80's-"90's for sure.As for Macks more CH's than one could imagine!Highway dept. yards are full of clean "80's Louisvilles and IH S series!

    People seem to want INSANE prices down here,not sure if they ever sell???I found a cpl. B's sitting in fields,not run for many years.Solid trucks but 6-7K and they were sinking into the earth! http://nwga.craigslist.org/cto/4009089963.html

    What different type of tags did they have back in the "50's/"60's to add on the rear of a single axle?Any that were non driven,and stay down all the time?

    I think the hood is all glass,look at the holes molded into the top of the shell to yank it open.

    I've hauled a lot more weight with non turbo 673's,i wouldn't be worried.

    They sure move a LOT of trucks too!The whole front row was gone,and replaced with these since the last pic from a cpl. weeks ago.... (this is today) EDIT-There's a PACCAR dealer about a 1/4 mile down the st.,hope they put a whoopin on 'em .
