  1. Are'nt the rear axles on Macks made by meritor? What about the suspensions?
  2. I believe westport axle supplies chasis for Mack and Volvo trucks. Well as of 2 hours ago the Brazilian Holding Company was sold to Universal Truck Load Services located in Michigan. Should have kept the operation under LLC in Pa. Not sure what this will mean for Mack if anything.
  3. Looked at Bing maps and both buildings for plant 4 and 5C seem to still be there. Looks like they have had a cosmetic makeover. Not sure what they are used for now. One looks like it has a huge array of solar power on the roof.
  4. I probably should have put this in the antique classic section. From the looks of that Bus brochure those factories seemed to be immence.
  5. Its a shame to cut up that DM. Probably could save that and it would out last the modern fare.
  6. Great pics. I hope that B model got restored.
  7. Allentown plant 5C is mentioned from time to time on this site. How many plants were in Allentown. How close were they to each other. What was produced in each plant, What was produced in the New Jersey plants. How big were the plants in comparison to Macungie and Maryland plants
  8. Any B's left in Puerto Rico? Nice pics. Real nice.
  9. Those McClure Macks are ex Rawson trucks. Rawson has gone to KW unfortunately.
  10. We seldom see granite tractors out here in new england
  11. Those Copars don't even have camel backs. Volvo suspensions
  12. This brings up an interesting question did cummins ever make a 2 cycle.
  13. What are the specs on tour black MH.
  14. What is the best front discharge mixer Oskosh or Terex.
  15. Mack was absolutely amazing. Did they ever try to make airplanes?
  16. Illinois guys. Back in the 60's there was a company called Quality Carriers that had blue B-61's with shinny milk tank trailers hauling milk in Wisconsin and Illinois. I am wondering if this is the same company as quality carriers out of Florida. The Florida carrier has some nice new blue pinnacles.
  17. Looks like no such thing as rust down under.
  18. Nice That MB could fight a vw beetle for a paring space.
  19. Tha hmm chasis looks nice. The low cab forward would be one ugly front discharge mixer but it would probably work
  20. Scania has a marine industrial network in the US why not offer the V8 as an option for trucks. This would be a premium engine for any manufacturer.
  21. Seems like it would be pretty easy to modify a Mack MR to a front discharge mixer. Looking at some of KSCARBEL's Mack history posts the old Mack company (pre volvo) could have designed one on a dinner napkin before breakfast.
  22. Only one white truck in the bunch. G Model
  23. Amazing how many vehicles came out of allentown.
  24. Thats when American made trucks and parts were made by Americans using American made Machines.
