  1. Real smart truck manufacturers give the customer what he wants. No sense in turning a customer away when he barely has a foot in the door.
  2. Bye bye Granite. Cab overs (MH & LE) won't be far behind.
  3. IH board of directors are on the verge of traitordem as far as US truck manufacturing goes. So support Crane Carrier, Paccar, Autocar, Oskosh, Ford, GM etc. Screw VW, Daimler, Fiat and Volvo.
  4. Can't get anything by Mr. Hancock!
  5. KS: We would be more excited and supportive if Volvo pushed Mack like Diamler pushes Freightliner and Western Star. Since the 2000 takeover we have gotten: A warmed over Vision with a plus 4 cab (Mack Pinnacle axle back). A lighter Mack Granite with a Cummins engine. (MHD) An LE trash truck. ( Not bad but looks only a mother and NY city could love). A Titan. (Woops we think a Volvo heavy haul is a better option) An Anthem ( Pinnacle axle back with the roof knocked out) New Pinnacle( axle forward CH with an enhanced bow tie grill) And don't forget the steering wheel with the flat bottom. No new heavy haul options or big power. On a positive note. New interior designs all around and the new MD(better late than never I guess)🥱
  6. That's bad ass and rare. Metal looks pretty decent.
  7. Like the nice high hood. How do they achieve this? Extra springs up front?
  8. It would seem that the B model Mack was more aerodynamic than the R model. If the MH had wind tunnel data I would guess the later R models did also. May bee that's why the CH and Vision came about.
  9. If the Euro style cabover(cabs) had straight(flat) lines over the front axle they would look so much better IMO. Cab body lines as in the Mack MH or Freightliner Argosy.🙂
  10. Navistar board of directors still holding out. Good.
  11. Volvo medium duty?
  12. KS: Are you one of the five in the picture?
  13. Tapping into the jeep market.
  14. What do the belts drive on the MP7's? Alternator water pump and power steering pump?
  15. I can see why White dropped Sterling in favor of Autocar. A face only a mother could love.🙂
  16. That beautiful L model was in a video on you tube from Daily Diesel Dose titled Mack family.
  17. And they made a ton more of them than the w-71
  18. When I was a young lad I worked at Hartford Ct Mack for a while. Old brick building in the run down section of town. One day an owner operator came in with an F model sleeper with the then new Maxidyne 325 V-8. The whole shop went over for a gander. Sure wish I had one today.
  19. They were one of the most popular fleet trucks of the day. They were made of non galvanized steel so there are not many survivors.
  20. Lets hope they don't kill off construction and heavy haul comes back.
  21. Needs one of those Superliner II bumpers {flat in the middle and extended and tapered on the sides). Not to worry still looks good upside down.
  22. I like the looks of the Volvo VHD but it needs a more rugged looking bumper.
  23. I don't see why they didn't offer the plus four CH cab. May bee they are trying to use up the old cabs( Minus four) like they did with the L cab with the B and C series Macks.
  24. I wonder why they did not use the + 4 cab or did they.
