  1. Love those Brockway axle forwards. Karma caught up with Mack for dumping Brockway the way they did.
  2. If you go to bing maps you will see a lot of Suzio old iron in the weeds at their Meriden Ct. location.
  3. Now its MP-7 and 8 period. Woops forgot the baby Cummins.
  4. There have been traitors on the boards of directors of major US corporations and the US Government probably from about the 1970's. The major purpose of the Tri Lateral commission was to make Europe and Japan stronger and the US weaker. It has worked to perfection because it has been designed as such. The number of US industrial companies that have been taken over is legion. Combustion Engineering, Westinghouse, JI Case, International Harvester, New Holland. Allis Chalmers, Mack, White, Freightliner, Detroit Diesel etc. etc. etc. GE will probably sell their locomotive division to Siemens and spin off other industrial assets as well unless they get their act together. Just plain f'n sad.
  5. There are still a few of these around at reasonable prices.
  6. This thread is enough to make your head explode. I feel your pain.
  7. Was the White Constuctioner pretty much an Autocar clone and were they built in a White factory or Autocar factory.
  8. Where do you have to go to get Cats worked on nowadays. Construction dealers?
  9. Is that the same PJ's that runs the roll offs
  10. Tell Volvo there is more to selling just a few hundred heavy haul trucks. Those sales eventually filter down to the dumps/mixers etc. When a customer has to go to Paccar or Western Star as the only option in heavy haul they tend to buy other products from them and steal away customers from Mack. Examples in Ct are O&G/ Rawson, Tilcon, Manafort and Herb Holden. American Industries is a recent exception but they still use Paccar for heavy haul.
  11. You would expect the Kenworth dealer would spec the truck for what he wants.
  12. A model Mack's like they had the same cab as White coupe cabs.
  13. This may be the beginning of the end for Mack MR/LE
  14. Looks nicer with the short hood. If they can stuff an x15 into that they should be able to stuff one in a Granite or Pinnacle (CH)
  15. Sweet Superdog. Nice trailer also.
  16. A Granite heavy haul option would be nice along with the Cummins 600 HP. The Mack Anthem followed the Volvo VNL upgrade by about six months. May bee the same will happen with a heavy haul Granite. Wouldn't bet the farm on it though.
  17. Black dog. I'm from Ct also. Looks like you have a nice stable of dogs. I've seen the new Palumbo CH on their website. Waiting to see the new Granites for Gateway. Too bad Manafort is going with KW and Herb Holden with Volvo. American Industries has about 50 Granites. Seems like O&G and Tilcon are lost Paccar causes. Saw a bunch of red Mack granites on I95 around Waterford the other day. May have been Red Coaches.
  18. I believe the bottom line is Mack is a side show in the arrogant Volvo mind set. They don't want to make Mack competitive with Volvo because Mack would kill them in sales. Too bad they can't seem to follow the Paccar model and let the two models compete fairly as in KW and Pete. Paccar creates an environment where both models can thrive.
  19. Another slap in the face for Mack!
  20. Serie is an interesting character with you tube videos about heavy hauling with his 2016 Mack Pinnacle with an MP-8. Well don't you know that he has traded the Pinnacle in for a 2019 KW T-880 with a Cummins 605 HP 2050 ft-ib of torque X15. He liked the Mack but it just didn't have enough balls. As Gomer Pyle would say " Golly saergent, would you imagine that". Thanks Volvo another heavy haul customer down the drain.
  21. They look like they are ready to fall on their face
  22. Its a dam shame Penske sold Detroit.
  23. Logtruckman: Do they sell many Mack log trucks out east anymore. Seems like Granites are limited to roll offs and dumps around Ct. Not many tractors or loggers
