  1. http://jobs.aol.com/articles/2012/11/03/union-red-tape-in-n-j-causes-alabama-recovery-crew-to-head-home/ According to the IBEW and Gov. Christie what was first reported was not the case "But union officials completely deny that there was any such condition. "It is the policy of this union and the companies we represent to welcome assistance during major natural disasters -- regardless of union status," Jim Spellane, spokesman for the national office of the IBEW said in a statement. Gov. Christie said the Alabama crew got "bad information" and that non-union crews are welcomed in the recovery effort, according to The Associated Press. Jersey Central Power & Light, the New Jersey utility which provides power to Seaside Heights, is using non-union crews to help restore power."
  2. BTW that's a nice looking truck you have there! It must be C-Model season. They keep popping up right and left on BTM!
  3. Do yourself a favor and get rid of the series parallel switch. Convert to a 12v started and alternator setup. You will like it way better.
  4. I took a sample to the local paint store and had a custom colored mixed. It was right on to the original sample and on the part of heater box that was partly tucked under the dash.
  5. what he said.
  6. What if we could work something out like paying for you to digitize the manuals we would need? Kind of like on demand digitizing. I don't mind paying for a manual that others will find useful. btw I'm interested in anything for the cruiseliner ws models.
  7. You got it. It's a shame that for those of us that play by the rules have to suffer for the negligent companies who hire and run the illegal operations. I just got my letter a few weeks ago about the physical card that I have to maintain if I want to be able to drive.... All the hoops someone who wants/needs a CDL and has to maintain it including CSA get thrown out the window when this jagoff who can't speak or understand english causes an accident.

  13. I like the green! looks great! Thats looks way better since the last time i seen it! Good job!
  14. With a much longer frame and use of a roll off(high center of gravity when in use) I would recommend "z" cut, stagger joints, and weld (SMAW-ROD NOT MIG) the existing frame rails to desired length. Then slip an inner frame to the whole length bolted to the outer extended frame. Always bolt together inner and outer rails with grade 8 fine tread nuts and bolts. just my .02 cents
  15. Thats really cool and rare! great find!
  16. im not sure of that brand. but i know that kysor was a poplar universal roof/mounted a/c in that era. search for roof-mounted kysor a/c units
  17. And Romney-the elitest, really has the majority of the country in his best interest??? He has his rich friends at Koch Brothers, friends at Sun Capital, and friends at Bain Capitalin in mind...He doesn't care about the working man or the middle class. 47% Income tax is correct but "47% believe they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name it and that's my job is not to worry about” people who won't “take personal responsibility and care for their lives" REALLLY??. How about my mom and dad who are retired and haven't paid it because they are on a fixed income. Or the other 22% of that 47% that are retired US citizens, that equals to millions of once hard working tax paying now retired folk. Or how about a kid who graduated with me from high school??? http://pittsburgh.cb...n-into-reality/. How about Ron and other wounded warriors that do not pay income tax during deployement!!!! So I guess Ron, or my good buddy who was a marine in Fullajah in 2004 who is still messed up, or my fiance's cousin who is was in an EOD unit where over half his unit were killed by an IED in Iraq, or my buddies in the Air Force Security force and his brother in Army Reserves who served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, are they the ones who are bottom feeders and "take personal responsibility and care for their lives" This guy and other neoconservatives are so out of touch with reality. How about talking about getting manufacturing back in the USA. We can't be a nation of service. We need to make something. The EPA might be putting this regulations in place but its really because of the DEREGULATION of the energy producing industry. When the industry was regulated it was required by the regulaory commission for the companies to invest pollution control and maintenance for its plants. Since deregulation plants have not be upkept and upgraded as in the past. This means HIGHER INVESTMENT COSTs for these plants to comply to air quality standards. Let the market self regulate. Get real. That's the real problem. Couple that with the fact that natural gas is a lot lower in price. Natural gas production is booming. This is called "'creative destruction". Its like the 8-track being replaced by the cassette, the cassette replaced by the cd,cd replaced by the Ipod. It changing of times. You don't think the coal producers know this??? Consol Energy-has natural gas and coal divisons including the use of coal bed methane recovery.
  18. that guy is a wack job selling that.
  19. To many chains and binders on a load never killed anyone. To little chains have..I'm with you, chain it down and check them often.
  20. adding 5 gallon of oil to it before start up and saw dust on the oil puddle on the floor after it moves it must be a de-triot. If it sounds like it got it's dick stepped on it must be a de-triot. I'll stick with the brute force sound and reliablity of a mack or cummins engine any day of the week. Detriots guys are like peterbilt guys they are the "rice-burner" guys trucking. A real car guy likes a muscle car not an import "rice burner". A real truck driver likes a mack. Thats my two cents.
