  1. INTERSTATE=JUNK. Ive had nothing but problems with them. We've used Deka for a long while with no problems.
  2. Look at the picture close. Is that a Cummins on its side? The exhaust is really high to with a spark arrestor high towards the top maybe for a high cude box or canvas top straight truck? The frame is strapped like the older flat bed trailers. Is that a tag or lift axle in front of the drive axle with front hubs? Maybe its a steerable lift I can't makeout if there are tie rods or drag links? Whatever this truck is, it's pretty unique.
  3. Those old cabover Whites I always heard called "pregnant rollerskate" by some old timers haha
  4. Check out quiet ride solutions. http://www.quietride.com/. They made my headliner and insulation kit for my B-61 we restored. They make a kit for B-Models. They also make headliners for custom applications and from what they told me if you have a headliner that you make the pattern for and you let them keep it ie for both of your CF-600 I think they'll cut you a break with pricing? They had to make a custom center section for my truck because of airlines and different marker lights. I simply sent them a cardboard pattern and they matched it to what I wanted. They sent it back and with the exception of some trimming and some re-stitching I did it was fairly straightforward for installation. I spoke a few times with the president Tim Cox and he was very helpful in assisting me with any questions I had. I would use them again. The sound deadening kit I got is outstanding as well. My cab is so much quieter and cooler in the summer than the other B Models Ive been in with the cardboard headliner and no insulation. Hope this helps, 220cummins
  5. I seen that. Ive heard of them but that was the first time I seen that. I know there was some problems with that kind of blower sucking the material back into the engine ie flyash and cement.
  6. Thanks for the info. It was Gulfway Insurance not what I had said. I hope to have the truck at the Watts show in August! Thanks for all the help.
  7. I was wondering what types of insurance or companys cover classic and antique trucks. I'm getting ready to get my B model on the road but I have to Register it first with State of Pennsylvania. I'm prob going to go with Antique Plates but I first have to get insurance on it. I was at the Watt's show a few years ago and some guys mentioned Gulf Coast Insurance I believe. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  8. I've been using baldwin filters my whole life on everything I've run with nothing but luck. My Dad has been using them and wix since the late 70's with the same luck. I personally swear by them. IMHO I can't stand fram, they are junk. -Pat
  9. Thank you sir. Its been quite a process but I enjoy it and so does my dad. He's been doing this kinda work for years now, so now that he is retired it still keeps him busy. I spoke with the owner of quiet ride and we figured things out. I'll post some updated pics of the truck soon. Thanks, Pat
  10. Its seems to fit well but I'm still waiting on an answer yet. I've been so busy with work I just got around to emailing the guys there some pictures of the issues. I think I have the right kit. I'll know as soon as they get back to me. Everything else I got so far seems to fit up like the headliner and firewall insulator, except for the rear of cab pieces. They never sent any type of instructions or pictures to indicate the correct installation. I have filler looking pieces that aren't labeled or marked for any spot that I can't figure out where they go. I'll let you know the outcome. Thanks, Pat
  11. Directly From quiet ride.
  12. Does anyone have any experience installing a Quiet Ride plastic headliner and back of cab kits for a b-61? I'm having some issues with it. They never sent any instructions with it. This is the first headliner I'm installing. I'll call them tomorrow but I wonder if anyone here had any insight with this type? Thanks, Pat

  14. Sorry to hear for your loss. God Bless.
  15. It was in the post-gazette a few weeks ago about how they are no longer having the flashlight drags at zeli anymore. It has something to do with a FAA ruling saying the airport must only be used as an air facility only in case of a mid air emergency. So that means no flashlight drags there. But they are to have them at Beaverun and some short dragways in western pa and eastern oh.
