Baldwin makes a good filter, I have it on my 237 and we've run them for years on Macks with much luck. The frams on the other hand are IMHO, junk. We've never had luck and a few guys I know had nothing but problems with them as far as filtering of fluids. Baldwins work for us so that’s what we go with. I know that the original question has nothing to do with preference but filters are just as important as the oil in the motor. Use a sub-par product expect sub-par durability and performance.

From a recent experience I found out that if remove a head, the 711 had a 5" Bore, where as a 673 had a 4-7/8" bore. 711's also came with 18 and 20 head stud heads. The head gaskets are still available through Watts Mack. Of course that's if all else fails and your curiosity is that wild. haha -220cummins

Does anyone know where a could find a used or rebuilt 5 speed manual transmission for a 1999 UD 1400. I can only find automatics. If anyone can give me some info it would be appreciated. Thanks, -220cummins
