  1. Dave if you are interested, I am parting out an MH, you are welcome to any steering parts you may need. It has the pump mounted on the back of the air compressor. Entire front axle with Budd hubs is available.
  2. This is so much more fun than politics.
  3. Escutcheon sounds like some kind of French seafood that is inedible.
  4. I can't take it anymore! We've had our fun, but I did measure my F door at 4 7/8", which should be the same as R, RW, U, DM, DMM, CF, and all Western variants. I can't speak for Europe or Australia or Vlad, because they are probably metric.
  5. I am slowly dismantling an MH parts truck with an E6 2v 350 and Mack 9-speed that will be for sale.
  6. I measured my F model it is also the same.
  7. You don't see many old freightliners for a reason. Before air ride cabs they shook themselves apart. Self destruct mode.
  8. I never looked at those trucks, wasn't aware of the frame. Obviously you know what you are getting in to, hope to see you out at the shows next season, if not sooner. I am only an hour away from Scranton. Good luck with the B!
  9. It is interesting you point out age limits for Congress... Term limits could solve that problem. It is not meant to be a lifetime appointment. But also to your point about voter participation, it is a product of our own well being. Even the poorest folks in the United States enjoy a higher standard of living than many third world nations, and people become complacent as long as their situation doesn't get any worse. Funny how those third world nations get very high voter turnout where citizens have little to lose, but value it greatly.
  10. Bill Maher lost mein the first 3 minutes when he called me a deplorable knuckle dragger. Typical elitist attitude, the smartest guy in the room, completely out of touch with average Americans. But the alternative reality he speaks of is his own privileged existence. He says Trump supporters are not as bad off as we think, with average incomes of $72,000. Excuse me, but I bust my ass to make more than that, and it's still paycheck to paycheck, not much more. 25 years ago, I made about 2/3 of my current income and was much better off. $15 minimum wage won't even pay the rent nowadays. Maher says Hillary will be steady on the current course set by Obama. I'm sorry but 8 more years will destroy America's exceptionalism. We need to CHANGE course and stop trying to be like the rest of the world. There is a reason why immigrants want to be here. We have built the greatest nation on earth in less than 300 years and the rest of the world should try to be like us, not the other way around. Capitalism and free markets work, every time.
  11. To my understanding, the b-42 has been sold. B71 still available. Wanted to update this thread and get it back to the top. Contact Gerald Peters 610-587-5099.
  12. Sometimes the engine outlasts the rest of the truck. I have parted out several trucks, with only the engine remaining.
  13. Knowing the history, and the fact that those rooftops were built in the USA, I'm surprised that high roof double bunk did not catch on in the states. Just a few years later around 1975 KW had a big hit with the aerodyne double bunk. Would have been a good setup for team operation.
  14. They probably are backwards. I've seen people swap them on Petes and KWs to make it look like a needle nose in the dark. Should be able to swap them back if the pigtails haven't been cut.
  15. I might need to use that trick now that I have a wagon in tow.
  16. Add coolant. Sorry, I just had to say it. LOL
  17. I just hope you got the extended warranty on the carpet shampoo machine LOL
  18. My neighbor runs doubles for FedEx has a 2010 peterbilt with Cummins. Did an EGR delete and retuned 5.5 mpg before, 7.5 mpg after, plus 150 hp, and it will pass NJ smog test. Why can't we buy trucks like this out of the box?!?
  19. And WHY does a 1 ton pickup get only 14.5 mpg?!? My 50 year old Mack gets 10 mpg bobtailing around, which is what most of the Dodge Cummins are used for...
  20. How about REMOVING all the emission components and improve fuel economy?!? Use less fossil fuels= good for the environment!
  21. Ford Australia doesn't build 'em any longer, now we send Mustangs from the states. I wrote this one up as damaged. The steering wheel is on the wrong side.
  22. Thanks, Mike. I agree it fits the look of the truck, what I was searching for. Not perfect, but the best I have seen for the money. Tires and brakes need some attention, but good enough for the 50 mile trip home. One axle was replaced at some point, it has 20 inch hubs on rear axle, and 22 inch hubs on front. But all the original axle parts, hubs and 5 good spare tires and rims came with the deal. I just have to sort through and figure out what I can use. All the spare parts are for the 22 inch rubber. I will be pulling the bearings apart for inspection anyway. Just what I need, another project for winter!
  23. This one has 4- leaf springs, but the seller has another one for sale with torsion bar, a much nicer insulated reefer for $3800. More than I care to spend right now.
  24. It should help in the snow! It certainly helped the ride quality!
  25. I thought I was time warping on the way home! Took two lane old 22 instead of I-78, dragging up the hills, line of cars behind choking on my smoke!
