Yes I bought it from Gerald Peters. He only bought it last year at Sid German's auction. -
I've been looking for quite a while for a vintage trailer suitable to be dragged around by my F model. The right one found me last weekend. Went 50 miles to Lenhartsville, PA to pick it up Saturday. 1949 freuhauf stainless 32'. Decent roadworthy condition with a title! It will look a whole lot better than my little tent camper I've been taking around to shows. Plan to create camping space in the freuhauf.

I've seen that same black and blue superliner several times. This photo was in Elkton Maryland. Pennsylvania tags as I recall.

Maybe I am too Americanized in my thinking , but it seems like a short tractor and trailer articulated unit would give the same or better maneuverability and the same payload capacity. The chassis looks almost too long as a rigid to be maneuverable. -

Yes, sold at auction last year. I am working a deal for one of the trailers. The current owner is not particularly Mack oriented, and wants to thin out his fleet. I think a good deal can be had on these, he is not looking for mad profit, just wants to get back what he has in them.

I met the current owner of these two B-models today, they were previously advertised in Wheels Of Time Sept./Oct. 2015 and sold. They are currently for sale again. No connection to me, just posting for a friend. Trucks are located in Lenhartsville, PA. Anyone interested can talk directly to the owner, he is not on BMT. Gerald Peters 610-587-5099 cell.

Idle shutdown

Bump up the idle to 8 or 900 RPM or pull your trailer brake valve out and leave the yellow knob pushed in -
It is an RD of some sort, numbering I would not be sure.

The DM's with wide cab are interesting for sure! The Rd with dual steer axle is a pretty common axle arrangement in Canada. I have seen many in Ontario and Quebec like that.

I am putting together my '85 MH and giving up my current company job, hopefully before the boss goes to E-LOGS. Like Rowdy says, gonna lose 1-2 loads per week, or work 6 days to make 5 days' pay. My only concern is that the EPA will then say " THAT TRUCK IS TOO OLD AND SMOKES TOO MUCH" and regulate my MH off the road.

It was a great weekend! Definitely worth the trip. Good to see Farmer52, Maint1, Doug Maney, finally got to meet the OTHER Dog! And especially glad MHFred made it to the show relatively unscathed. Good to see you too, Neil! I finally made it down your way for a change.

since putting in the new engine a few years ago, I wouldn't hesitate to drive that F model anywhere. I would like it to run a little bit faster , it is happy about 60 miles per hour. Fast enough for me, but not quite enough to keep up with traffic. Winchester is about the longest trip I've taken with that truck. An axle ratio change may be in the works as soon as I get my other project cleaned up.

Yessir that was me! Probably passed thru Harrisburg around 11am. Truck ran flawlessly down and back 400 mile round trip.

I recently saw a Canadian B train Southbound on Route 33 in Pennsylvania. Very odd, I thought. Not legal in these parts. I was not personally offended however , as I believe the B train is a sensible combination For many transport needs. I remember a customer in Seneca Falls New York, a Quebec outfit came in almost every day with half B-trains in the morning, then make the 6 hour round trip to the border at Thousand Islands to bring the other half. How silly that the New York Thruway allows twin 48 Footers, but not B-trains. In my opinion the B train is much more stable and safe.
