  1. I seem to remember seeing these at the museum a few months ago.
  2. One thing you can count on from liberals and Democrats, whatever they accuse their opponents of doing, they are usually guilty of it themselves. Smoke and mirrors... "LOOK OVER HERE !!! DON'T LOOK AT WHAT WE'RE DOING!!!
  3. Where are you located? I don't recall having any trouble getting wheel seals for my 63 F 607 in Eastern Pennsylvania. My local parts store had everything I needed.
  4. F and R windshields are not interchangeable.
  5. Lots of work gets done with that combo... Think about what that particular truck has been already doing for the last 23 years. I wouldn't hesitate a bit.
  6. Don't forget a big issue with social security is the "slacker" politicians who have no spine to do their jobs, and " borrow" funds from the social security trust.
  7. Better off doing as much for yourself as possible. That way, you aren't indebted to anyone, and when your benefactor fails, you won't be too disappointed. As far as social security goes, the only reform I would like to see is a waiver to opt out. I don't want to contribute, and I expect nothing at retirement. Let me keep my money and invest it myself. A bank savings account gives a better return. But, alas, that's not how socialism works. They need my money to support all the slacks living off the system.
  8. And that's why all the old teamster companies are long gone... Completely unsustainable benefits and retirement in today's market. Like it or not, companies have to be lean & mean to compete in a global economy. You retired at least 10 years too early, when you still had value to provide, and have been living off the backs of others' labor ever since.
  9. When I was in trade school, circa 1989, I remember an instructor telling me a truck should last 20-30 years with proper maintenance, and every component is rebuildable, so really useful life of a truck is infinite, as long as parts are available. Each to his own, but I wouldn't buy anything newer than 2001 nowadays. Keep fixing what you already have. You're either going to make a payment or pay for repairs and maintenance. Either way, you don't get to keep the money. Yes, a new truck has warranty, but downtime is killer, and the bank still wants the payment every month, whether the truck worked or not. With an old truck, I can afford a week off, fix it myself, and drink beer while I'm working!
  10. Seems like John Ashe got the " Vince Foster" treatment.
  11. Maybe a bit high on initial purchase, but think about total cost of ownership over the life of the truck. A lot of maintenance and repair downtime on new trucks is related to EPA emissions equipment.
  12. The popularity of Fitzgerald and other glider kits is a result of simple free market supply and demand. If the OEMs could build a reliable, satisfactory product, there would be no demand for an alternative. Apparently Fitzgerald has many customers satisfied with their product, as that business has grown exponentially in the wake of tighter government emissions regulations. Another example of government manipulation of free markets, and OEMs attempt to satisfy the requirements of regulation rather than satisfy the consumer.
  13. Question them about why they hate the USA so much and they can't even give a coherent answer. The media should ignore them.
  14. I don't mind accommodation and compromise to a point, but the taxpayer must have priority. We have become the forgotten majority. And common sense has gone out the window.
  15. Also got this sticker in my goodie bag from the show. I have no use for it, thought I should pass it on to Yardo since he is so proud to own one. The logo is off a bit, should read " demand drips"
  16. I was with Ron at Maple Grove yesterday. Baby Mack maybe a bit slow getting back to Philly. Check back with FOX at lunchtime.
  17. All I can say is my new CX in 2000 had a Solo clutch, worked good till about 400,000 then quit adjusting. Could not break it loose or move the indicator. When my free play totally was gone I pulled it out and put an easy pedal that I could adjust manually. In hindsight, if I had another new Solo I think spray lube would be part of my PM service to try and keep it working throughout its useful life.
  18. Got a good campsite in the shade thank you! Need shade this weekend! Lots of trucks rolling in already Friday night.

  19. Your views on same sex relationship ( I still believe they should come up with a term other than marriage) indicate what I have concluded in my own mind. Most people in the US are libertarian, only aren't aware of this, because the two party system is all we have been exposed to. Democrat or Republican. Nobody really looks beyond those two categories. I consider myself a conservative thinker, but basically have no problem allowing anyone to make their own choices in life, as long as your behavior brings no harm to anyone else. AND with minimal government intervention. Let's wait and see, but I believe Donald Trump will be a good change for our country. Maybe we don't know what he will do, but we already know what the politicians will do, and that sure as hell ain't working for the last 20 years. The pendulum swings.
  20. Seems like this time around, the American people may be paying attention a bit more than in the past. All the liberal efforts to make Trump look bad only makes him more attractive. Keep on, Clintons. You are digging your own grave. We are wise to your shenanigans. You can no longer deny the will of the American people. Seems like the Republican establishment has already got the memo, judging by the proceedings at the convention.

The politicians have nothing to say, so the rest of us are numb to the atrocities. It happens every day, but we know nothing will be done about it. The evil has reached our shores yet no change of tack in Washington.
  22. No offense but I'd rather have the R7 in the background.
  23. True, the prices... I haul cars and see the sticker prices. Escalade 2016 around$85,000! GMC Denali $75,000. I tell the wife " hope you like your '03 Denali cuz we ain't getting a new one!!!"
  24. Kasich gets a double thumbs down as the governor of the host state. First time in history a governor did not attend his party's convention. He's done a good job as governor of OH, but now playing politics and sour grapes.
  25. That Japanese freightliner doesn't look too bad, either.
