  1. I would attempt to purchase Randy Y's friendship. Of course he would only be interesting if HE had all the money. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  2. FedEx involved. Imagine that. Wherever there's trouble there seems to be a FedEx in the middle of it. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  3. Most of the Constitution and Bill of Rights is intended to afford citizens protection FROM government intrusion. Last I checked, the National Guard is sanctioned BY the government. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  4. Is there any way to post an UNlike?!? New trucks are not cost effective, especially for the slave wages of port operators. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  5. George Lindsay and Archie Campbell how can you beat that?!? LOL Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  6. BTW sitting here Sunday night watching HEE HAW still funny 40 years later don't really need any more stimulation than that. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  7. Sorry I'm going the udder way Monday morning 6-way Albany starting in Goshen, NY. Good thing I had lunch with Ron on Saturday. LOL Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  8. Technology can be helpful, but I don't like the fact that many people and companies have come to rely on electronics and new equipment. Everybody bitches about the new emissions trucks, but they keep on buying them? I won't buy anything newer than 2000. Now 1999 because of the E-logs mandate. Just lay down and take it, and the gov't will continue to shove it down our throats. As far as computers and smartphones and GPS, etc... People are losing the ability to think for themselves, society is losing common sense. More and more, I think maybe the Amish got it right. .02 sorry for the rant Gregg Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  9. I'd rather a 237 Mack than a 2016 KW. More and more I have a serious aversion to technology. DPF, SCR, DEF, E-logs, GPS, I don't know how ANYTHING got done 40 years ago. None of this new technology makes my life any better, in fact just the opposite. Give me mechanical simplicity. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks. My old truck. Glad to see it got into good hands. I wonder if tackaberry paid the most recent asking price. It magically doubled in value over the past year. Gregg Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  11. There you go! The BCR's are a perfect example.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  12. I brought it up in another post, and it applies here too. Take a good look at Joe Mustangs H model cabover. This truck was heavily modified by its long-time owner over the lifetime of the truck. Nowhere near stock anymore, but a piece of history just the same. A truck is the extension of its owner's personality. If you are paying the bills, do what you wish. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  13. Hopefully the FBI sees her as trouble as well, and gets the federal indictment together soon. Then CNN will be compelled to report something negative about the Clintons.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  14. Go for the cab replacement. Seems you like this truck enough to keep it. With the recent engine, you'll be money ahead with a simple, reliable truck. And, you can still run paper logs. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

  16. We're all started already... That's why Trump is so far ahead in the polls lolSent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  17. They are a good bunch at Allentown Mack (Trans Edge). Been doing business there for years. Bought a Brand new CX there in 2000, and they helped me keep it going for 12 years until I sold it. They still have a few techs good with V8s, and they helped me with the E6 thermodyne Frankenstein I put together for my F-model. Just a single owner-operator and they treat me like I own 100 trucks. 18. I'm not defending the immigrants, it is our politicians who allow this to perpetuate. The USA is still the greatest place on earth to live, the rest of the world resents us only because they are jealous. Look what our founding fathers have accomplished in 250 years, where many civilizations around the world have not advanced out of the stone age. Now our current crop of "leaders" want to "level the playing field" by setting us back, rather than bring others up to our standard of living. No other nation is so lenient with immigration, or so generous in support of the UN. Yet everyone around the world hates the USA. Time to bring our troops and our dollars home, tighten the borders, and let the rest of the world do without their guardian angel for a while. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  19. Just a guess, but looks light-duty, probably to hang hoses or wires. I recall my RW had battery cables hanging in n this area, to the starter and between the boxes.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  20. "White Knight " by Cledus Maggard. He had a few other novelty trucking songs in the '70s. Some on YouTube.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  21. We've got to the point where an influx of immigrants has driven down wages to a level where entry-level jobs pay less than welfare. Immigrants are willing to do menial, "dirty" jobs because they are not eligible for a government check. Americans are "not willing" to do these same jobs, because welfare pays more than a minimum wage job. You can't blame the immigrants for trying to improve their position in life; a minimum wage job in the USA (and the opportunities it provides) is far better than a hopeless existence in any third world country. I have a certain amount of respect for a person willing to leave behind everything he knows and risk everything to move halfway across the globe, just to get to the USA. I have a lot less respect for some lazy American who won't even move off the couch to get a job. The blame for this current situation lies squarely with our BLH government policies..02 Gregg "Character is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching" Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  22. I would hope the same Regulatory Flexibility Act also applies to EPA and FMCSA. I would like to see cost/benefit analyses of regulation on energy production and trucking industries over the past 20 years. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  23. Had the same thing happened to me lol thought I blew up the engine. Did my happy dance after realizing the situation.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  24. On the road, basically a 10-speed. Extra gears only used off road or starting. For close splits, 13 or 18 would be better.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  25. Young gal 23 years old started driving in May... She has enough experience to start training the 18 year olds the big fleets want to recruit. This has nothing to do with trucking... I seem to remember knowing in about 1st grade that trucks are much bigger and heavier than cars Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
