    Not everyone wants or needs a "correct" truck. I started modifying my brand new CX the day I brought it home from the dealer. And I have made use of modern technology to make my 1963 F work better for me than 50 year old designs. One of the most famous Macks, Joe Mustang's H-model, is basically a rat rod.     How many do you see rotting away in a farm field for years that the owner won't restore or sell to someone who will? I'd rather see it at a show or going down the road. Nice to see someone take otherwise neglected sheet metal and make something of it with artistic license.I also don't understand the point of having a perfectly restored $$$ big buck trailer queen that never gets driven, used or touched.     Also if you have enough slack, try snipping 1/2" off the end of the plastic line, to give it a fresh square end to clamp back into the manifold. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    I went through the trouble of changing that air manifold... Didn't do much good, still leaked afterwards. Not much of a leak to affect operations, but I always worried about DOT hearing air leaking. Be careful under the dashboard rooting around, too.     Mike, usually the access lids are spec'ed on snow plows so you can check oil and fluids, as tilting the hood is impossible with the plow attached.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Only left-hand threads I know of are on BUDD wheels... On the left side of the truck. Right-hand on the right side. I've seen many rookie mechanics get screwed up with this... ME INCLUDED lol. Now there is a whole generation behind me that has never even seen Budd wheels. The newer style hub pilot uses right hand threads all around.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    I've seen some in colder climate have an air cleaner with an intake tube routed from under the hood, to draw warmer, drier air. That appears to be the set up on this truck. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
