Sorry in the wrong forum, for some reason I can post in any forums EXCEPT parts for sale?!? Anyway I acquired this door as part of another deal, complete guts and glass, early round latch mechanism, F model mirror bracket. A few minor tweaks, but no rust- through. I gave $100 for it, will pass along for same Gregg Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

DM-800 Dump Truck
Underdog replied to j hancock's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Growing up in NJ in the '70s these were all over. Once in awhile us kids would get a thrill and see a 20 or 25 year old B81 still working. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -
I was MIA for a while, but I came back, like a bad Penny. You guys might be stuck with me. BTW, how do you spell MIA?!?Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Jukebox for my 12 model chu
Underdog replied to 1965's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
My '14 Volvo had the radio linked with the dashboard somehow. Set the clock in the dashboard and the radio time would synchronize. Sound would automatically lower according to truck speed, as well. My '15 doesn't work that way, though I think it is supposed to, as the steering wheel volume and seek controls don't work, either. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -
Welcome to my world, Tom. Most days I don't have time to stop for lunch. Hell I can load 3 or 4 cars during my mandated 30 min. lunch break! PSST! Here's a secret... Don't tell Obammy or the FMCSA but I only took 7 hours off last night... I was pissed off enough that I had to stay out on a Friday night, but I have a small window on Saturday morning to do my errands before businesses close at noon. I got more important things to do at home than to lay around at the motel until 7am waiting for my logbook to catch up.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

My biggest issue with electronics is how the world has become dependent. Notice the rule guideline for when your electronics fail. And they will fail. RECONSTRUCT your previous 7 days logs? I can't even remember what I did yesterday, unless I have it ON PAPER. So basically you will have to keep a paper log as a backup to the electronic. Sounds like more work to me. And MhE9 is correct. If they think I'm staying in a motel an hour away from home on Friday night, with the Macungie show the next day, the boss, FMCSA and I will be butting heads. Every operation is different, I tried to work 13 or 14 hours every day maximizing my time since I am away from home anyhow. Now I will work 10 or 11 hours a day and go to the hotel. I will stop taking chances. It will take 6 days to accomplish five days worth of work. Not my cup of tea. $ .02 Gregg Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

It all depends on driver knowledge and skills. No need to apply full torque in low ranges. Let the proper gear do the work. Same reason we see single countershaft transmissions again today. Electronic controls prevent shock loads and over torque. These skills used to be the old school drivers responsibility. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

My company is installing them now... I don't have one yet. I am with Rowdy on this... Facing out is a big help, but not a camera inside the cab. We are told that real time monitoring is not possible, the SD card must be removed to review the footage. I'm not too worried about it now because my company doesn't have the personnel to look at 60 trucks' footage on a regular basis. But it's a slippery slope with technology, real time monitoring may come in the future... I have developed a real aversion to all this technology taking over the world... It can be useful, but too many people and businesses have come to rely on devices and connectivity so much that they can't function without it. My boss is going in that direction, and maybe it's required to be competitive these days, Electronic logs, cameras, GPS tracking. I'm just a dumb truck driver, but I don't see the ROI on all this equipment. He is scaring me right back to being an owner operator. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Hillary Clinton Apologizes for Saying ‘Illegal Immigrants’
Underdog replied to kscarbel2's topic in Odds and Ends
Sounds like what Donald Trump is talking about... Maybe that's why he is so popular with average middle America working people. He makes politicians nervous on both sides, maybe that's a good thing. Gregg Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -
There was a time not long ago that any truck stop worth its salt would feed truckers on the house on holidays... I guess nowadays you COULD use your PILOT POINTS and get a free roller dog...I was able to get home for thanksgiving, but we are never more than 300 miles away. The boss does his best to get us all home every weekend and holidays. One of our drivers even worked his way to Ohio so he could be with his daughter and grandchildren. God bless everyone, enjoy the holidays with your families. Gregg Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Underdog replied to ou812jk's topic in Exterior, Cab, Accessories and Detailing
I was able to get everything from TransEdge Mack in Allentown PA... Call or go in after 5pm and talk to Randy Z. He has connections for older trucks R's and F's and MH 'S Gregg Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -
Sometimes things have a way of working out, Tom. Certainly is a good looking truck, I like the looks better than the old one. Hopefully you won't make much use of that pesky warranty, either. Best of luck with this one, you have paid your dues with shop time and breakdowns. Gregg Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

That truck is not a Rawhide. Styling cues are forward mounted stacks and 4 airhorns on the roof. Mechanically the same as a CH. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Underdog replied to 1958 F.W.D.'s topic in Odds and Ends
The way that started and ran after 5 years dormant, nothing bad can be said about that Detroit Diesel. Enjoy your crow. We've all probably had some at the local Chinese restaurant already. Tastes like chicken. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -

Mike that Maxidyne looks real good all painted up. That is an inspiration to me. I need to sell my engine or find a truck to put it in. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -
My little F- model earned a little fuel money this weekend, spotting a few trailers for a neighbor. I had a bit of trouble turning with my short wheelbase and a 40" pin setting. Decided I am going to remove my headache rack and put on the original single exhaust stack. This will give more turning room, as I may get more work like this in the future. The F will have to step up until my MH tandem is roadworthy. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

He has a few small Mack items, but he never owned one. I will see what else he wants to sell. If anybody know "emeryville" Bill Nagy, his garage is like a museum of magazines and photos. Bill had the foresight throughout his trucking career to carry his camera everywhere. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Thanks, Alex. My friend will be glad to hear that! Any reasonable offer accepted. He is cleaning out his garage and letting go of some 50 years of collectibles.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
