  1. Think of it as a recreational vehicle. All those retired folk going up & down the road with giant bus campers or 40' 5th wheel trailers. No CDL required. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  2. It's the same Cold War we've been waging for 70 years. Only with new weapons. I'm sure the United States has the ability to infiltrate foreign government systems as well. All of it is way over my head, I'm just a small fish trying to keep swimming and I won't lose much sleep over it. Not in my power to change it, anyway.
  3. Late, but appreciated nonetheless... Sorry I missed you at Macungie, though I wasn't even looking for you so far north. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  4. I think Johnson Parks a few trucks there... It was out behind the garage hooked to a cattle pot. Maybe being used for yard tractor? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  5. Absolutely! We missed you at Macungie. I did see one of your old trucks at Midway Western Star Monday, though. MH with Johnson stickers on the door. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  6. But if you or I did that, we'd be up on charges for insider trading! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  7. The u model retained the flat-back cab throughout its run. The original purpose of the u model was as short a BBC as possible. I would assume this is why Mack kept it short.
  8. Happy birthday, Ron. It seems you share a birthday with my wife. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  9. At least I know who to call when my wipers quit working! Thanks for the insight, Ron. I would enjoy the challenge as well.
  10. I've heard talk that an MR electric wiper can be made to work on an MH, but I haven't tried it. Mine are still working.
  11. WOW... Sorry I missed it. AGAIN.
  12. The more people that tell me it can't be done only reinforces the validity of my decision. America is a great country and I am demonstrating the freedom that made this country great.
  13. Most of what I read on this very forum, owners struggle to achieve 6mpg in new trucks. Plus the cost of DEF. Plus the cost of downtime. At least my downtime is mitigated by the lack of monthly payment. I fell for it once in my career, not gonna be persuaded to buy new again. I traded a E9 MH in 2000 on a brand new CX. Took a long time for me to accept the fact that I did end up with a good truck, but the cost benefits I was promised never materialized. I got a steady 5 mpg with 2 different V8s I owned, and my CX never got over 6 mpg. I don't work for UPS, I don't haul cardboard boxes and foam peanuts. Put 25 ton on the back of any truck new or old and you'll be right around 6mpg. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

  15. Trying to make a living with an ELD and an unreliable EGR/SCR truck and a $2500 note each month is far more challenging, I say. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  16. Methinks they are talking about the entire truck painted gold...
  17. Part of the compliance issue going into the deadline is nobody knows what is a compliant device?!? FMCSA has not clarified the definition. I predict a delay because enforcement is not even ready for this December 18 mandate. Not going to bother me in the least I'll be going down the road in my 1985 cabover making money regardless. 18. Thanks Ron. Hope to see you this weekend. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  19. Not to mention that our current fleet is greatly underutilized. Many of those 53' vans are lightly or only partially loaded, not to mention the scores of trailers staged for drop and hook operations. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  20. Miss Vicky's homemade meatloaf and mashed taters for dinner too. What a day! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  21. Our driver pool needs to greatly increase their skill level before we increase size/weights.
  22. Thank you guys! I got a nice birthday present to myself...5" dual straight pipes I ordered for the MH came in today. And I'm going down to the shop to mount new to me 5th wheel Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  23. The Taliban also uses the technology to their advantage, although they would have us return to the stone age.
  24. 25 years ago we didn't have the social media influence that we have today. It has done a lot of good and bad for politics. I personally believe that the internet has caused the social decay in this country and around the globe. Connectivity can be a useful tool, but it creates more trouble than it's worth.
  25. We don't ever under any circumstances allow any FWD photos on this forum. Nice interesting Mack, though. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
