Underdog

I have a 98 CH 613 n it keeps running out of fuel with the other tank half full or sometimes full. Funny thing is that either side will do it. We have cleaned tank caps nwhen it happens there seems to be pressure on the cap with empty tank when we open it.

On the newer trucks they have done away with the crossover line between the tanks. Top draw and return to both tanks with a tee fitting mounted above the transmission. I had the same issue with my 2000 CX until I installed a crossover line at the bottom of the tanks. When I needed new fuel lines, I did away with the tee fitting and plumbed it old school single draw/return on the driver side. Worked fine for many years.

I think I like this look better than than the chrome hubcap! This way let you see the mechanical aspect!! Also changed out the acorns for some tophats...

I really like the gold dog; I bought a truck that had one & gold coming off; wanted new one so I researched found if you buy new one from Mack it's over $120. I bought a gold dog paper weight for $79 & just unscrewed it; looked the same to me; paper weight looked like the older style hood ornament & base like comes on the R's without mounting holes in the base

Whenever I need a new bulldog I can usually find a decent one at Macungie chrome ones are 25 to 30 bucks gold ones are 35 to 40

I bought that truck from Jerry in 2012 it certainly has been around since then. I put quite a bit of work into the engine, unfortunately with my divorce going on at the same time, I had to sell the truck to pay the bill. This truck is a good runner with the right specs, originally a Wylie truck from North Dakota. Wish I could have kept this one. Mike Yarnall this is the truck I had at your place when you had your open house.

I can now join the ANTI VOLVO crowd. I was just informed that Volvo "has obsoleted" Cruiseliners from their data base. Meaning Mack cant look up anything by the VIN. Thanks AGAIN Volvo

If you have a good parts guy worth his salt he can still crack the books and find what you need my guy in Allentown second shift Randy is amazing with the older trucks

Need better pricing, coal biz is dead, take bodies off and sell as heavy tractors, done this with some RD800s, sold fast.

If you can hang on a couple more years, we may see a turnaround in the coal industry after the 2016 election. EPA is already coming under fire for what they have done to coal in this country.

Drove a few R models with that style pump. 2nd or 3rd was what I used depending how heavy a load was in the box. I prefer the rear mount Mack PTO tho...

Used to start in 2nd gear on my RW when oil was cold... Dumping scrap a couple winters ago in AL blew the yard boss's mind when he saw me grab a gear 2nd to 3rd while dumping!

That's it in a nutshell. Makes you wonder what people are thinking, if anything- if Michael Brown had just gotten out of the street like the officer told him to instead of resisting he wouldn't have been shot...

if Kevin Ward hadn't gotten out of his car and walked down the track in a dark firesuit while under the influence of marijuana and tried to tackle Tony Stewart's car...his family wouldn't have anything to sue Tony over.

Most of these controversial situations involve judgement clouded by mind- altering substances. IMO

I am in good company... Was a member many years ago... Still regret trading away my previous MH 15 years ago. IMHO one of the finest products ever built by Mack. Hope to enjoy this one as much or more as I am older & wiser now.
