    Just some things that strike my fancy, hope others find interesting too. I don't get to ramble too far anymore... Seems most of my time is northeast corridor I-95. Took a ride up I-99 and 22 last week had stops in Bedford, Ebensburg and State College. That was like a vacation trip just to get away from Baltimore and Philly for a day.

    Don't be sucked into the "newer must be better" mindset. If your old R is doing the job and not costing you a lot of money to keep on the road, keep running it. Sounds like you have a truck you like and you may regret switching. I bought a brand new CX 427 in 2000 and it proved to be a solid reliable truck, but to this day I regret trading away my MH. In the end, I let too many people get into my head telling me I needed a newer, more efficient truck but in the end,my profit margin didn't change much. .02 Gregg

    I see some interesting things while at work, usually share with the wife, but I realize some of this may be interesting to y'all as well. Open for commentary. Zoom in on bumper sticker. Been seeing more of these... So NOT ready. Don't know if I want to work for this company or not. I don't think I am part of their target demographic. Somehow through six degrees of separation I think our current crop of politicians and this trucking company may be related.

    Not bragging but I've always been pretty good at this myself practiced a lot when I was younger took pride in getting the boss's wheels on straight.     I don't even own a 1" gun... Way too much torque even for Budd wheels! Too tight is just as bad as too loose, resulting in stretched and/or broken studs.

    A buddy of mine bought an '84 MH last year with a 350 2-valve... IMHO Mack's best ever engine. I also worked with the previous owner and this truck could run with any CAT or Cummins... We used to enjoy aggravating those LARGE cars with our little Macks.Gregg

    I would be interested, but I don't have access to righting equipment, and it would be cost prohibitive to put this truck back on its wheels.

    I just recently bought a milk crate full of brush nozzles at a flea market... They are literally a dime a dozen lol[emoji12] Gregg

    Had a hard time with Rustoleum the nozzles are s*** and they leak all over started buying Ace Hardware brand $2 cheaper and the paint seems to be better quality too in the end.02 Gregg

    Had the day off from festivities... Visited mom & dad last week for mom's birthday and all the kids are visiting elsewhere... So I got some more work done on the F-model. Got hubs & wheels back on the new axle. Back on its feet after several months on jacks. Not much time left before York! After the truck work was done, enjoyed corned beef and cabbage dinner, since we skippered St. Patrick's day (corned beef is WAY cheaper after March 17). Hope you all had a happy Easter doing what you enjoy with those you love. Gregg

    Get the truck for $1800-$2000, then buy my 237/5-speed for $1800-$2000 then you would have a great $5000 truck for $4000!!! My math says that's a bargain! Gregg

    I have held this debate for many years with many drivers and maintenance personnel. Like Tombstone says, UNDERINFLATION and lack of maintenance is the major cause of tire failure, recap or not. Most of the rubber you see along the road is a good casing zippered open due to poor maintenance. The best is when a stranded driver calls in with a "double blowout" lol. My first question is "oh, really?!? How long did you run with one flat until the other one blew out?" .02 Gregg

    Yeah that worked out pretty good I blocked up between the trailer frame and the tractor frame so the trailer acts as a lever to support the front of the tractor almost like I knew what I was doing[emoji12] Gregg
