  1. I wish it would've fallen off lol... Two days later my back is letting me know we worked too hard last Sunday...
  2. Definitely old school lol... If I had a garage I'd be dangerous Gregg
  3. The stack spring pack is the same on both... The donor truck was a 1970 model. The axle pictured is the one I am installing.
  4. Not for my truck, but thanks for not scrapping it. Somebody here will pick it up
  5. In spite of all the technology, the driver still is the #1 factor regarding fuel economy.
  6. Finally got a decent weekend to work outside and the snow is all gone... Got some work done on the F today. Looking forward to York and Macungie. Swapped out axle from my F-785 parts truck. The old springs were shot and had a loose kingpin. Just had to change the lower shock brackets, everything else bolted right up. I will use my original hubs with chrome hubcaps.
  7. I got stuck behind an older gent in the market EXPRESS checkout...waited until his 2 items were scanned... Then began writing his check for $4.38. Grrr.
  8. Eric Jasper is a great hard working guy from the Port Jervis area... He comes out to a lot of shows with his two sons. Doesn't often bring the RW out to shows. He hooked me up with my F-model when that truck was for sale at A. Trovei's in Sparrowbush near Port Jervis.Gregg .
  9. I didn't really want to get involved again but I guess it's time for me to pony up and buy my own truck again that's the only way you can work around all this stuff.
  10. My employer seems to have backed off the dash cams...for now...since half his drivers threatened to quit over that.Gregg
  11. My boss is pro-actively moving toward E-logs, not where I want to be... I like my job otherwise but told him this may be the tipping point for me. I've got 20 years to work IDK if I can keep driving that much longer...Gregg
  12. Sorry posted in odds & ends but won't post in PARTS FOR SALE for some reason.. Have set of 4 drive recaps 10.00x20 on Dayton wheels for sale $200.00 for set Also have 2 steer/trailer tires 10.00x22 not roadworthy yard tires make offer. Any or all can be delivered to York or macungie. Gregg

  13. I wasn't sure when Eaton did away with the clutch pedal. My buddy's 2000 peterbilt had 3 pedals. And the best part about driving a Peterbilt is you can get a suntan on both arms...
  14. Just remember the Eaton ultrashift (and the Mdrive/I-shift for that matter) are automated MANUAL gearboxes. 99 may even still have a clutch pedal. No big mystery here, should serve you as well as any other Road Ranger. I put 1.3 million miles on my 2000 CX 427. The current owner has over 1.5 million on it now still has not been overhauled. IMHO E-tech 427 pre-emission one of Macks best engines. A good friend of mine ran a 2000 Peterbilt with the Eaton UltraShift trouble free for many many years over 1 million miles Gregg
  15. This is exactly what I did on my CX years ago. on dump trailer you need the holding power of 2 axle brakes.Gregg
  16. Quite far from home but for the right price...
  17. Is the cap included? No seriously where are you located? Body looks clean I need a truck for my spare 237. Gregg
  18. It's a sad commentary on society today but people like free stuff and they will keep voting for the politicians who give them free stuff. they forget however that the government that provides for you also controls you. Gregg
  19. when I had my CX I added a leaf to the front spring pack for a total of 4. This greatly improved the ride and handling of the truck and front tire wear. Gregg

I'm lucky to have my smartphone lol my ex-wife has the rest
  21. The truck may pitch to the front, causing the rear axle measurement to be higher ( meaning your frame rails are not parallel to the ground.) this could be caused by worn out front springs. or you could try a slightly taller tire on the front if you find this to be the case. In any event, the air ride height measurement it's always taken on the axle that has the leveling valve. Gregg

I don't see any boxes to check. I'm working off my smart phone I don't have a PC. when I try to post in parts for sale, a window pops up telling me I need a topic prefix in order to post in that forum . but I don't see any option to insert a prefix. I don't understand because it posted fine in the test forum I did exactly what I wanted to do.Gregg
  23. NEVER dump with bags inflated!!! Also study the geometry of a frameless dump it is inherently more stable than a frame trailer. You have a tripod supporting up to half the length of your trailer, and your pivot point is the rear axle, putting your center of gravity much closer to the ground instead of worn out old pins on top of the frame rails. Try a frameless you'll never go back... .02 Gregg

Trying to post tires for sale in parts for sale forum. With pics. Why can I post here but not in PARTS FOR SALE?!?
  25. Absolutely an air ride trailer will smooth your ride. I learned this when I was least to Bulk Matic with my MH cab over on Camelback springs. Always switching trailers the air ride tandem definitely made a difference. later in my career I pulled a spread axle dump. the spread axle will really smooth your ride but then you do give up some tare weight. I pulled that bucket with my MH and later on with a super liner on Camelback springs both were a pleasure to drive. the trailer makes all the difference. Gregg
