  4. i know its not the same but just a thought, was it called exporting in world war one.
  5. at first i hated hauling to the port but after awhile i noticed 98% of the stuff i hauled was junk, yea there might be a nice part here or there, most of the trucks dont run cant stop or rust out cabs dashes all busted up, these are not collectable or rare trucks, they are company trucks that are junk, i hate seeing any good truck go, but look at CA they wont even let you have a good truck, you got to buy some over priced mechanical nightmare, so who would buy these old trucks and put them to work in a fleet but a few die hard's like super dog said, and our beloved mack corp's not helping at all with parts, we are in a real head wind here, and its not getting any easy'r. just my opinion .

  15. i understand going up and down hills, and to me my job and my trucks job is to do it a fast and as efficient as posable, and a truck's a tool and i want the best, just like any other tool for a job do you buy snap-on or a hong kong wrench. just went across I-68 at 80,000 with an e-7 400 and it did the job but i was alot more refreshed when i did it with a hot e9,
  16. i ask with out trying to sound like im bashing mack, if they are the greatest why couldnt they stand alone? after the R cab was gone along with the v8 what were your opptions for big power? 728 cubic inches and not the greatest design, who ever thought that running the injecter lines on top of the exhaust manifold was a good idea? the nice dashes in the the CH cab with no vents were a big hit, i love the old mack pre 1992-93 ish, just there gone, and as much i dont like that it all volvo at least i can still buy a truck with the MACK name on it, just my opp.
  17. truck was sitting for over 5 years, they sold the wheels, they brought 2 batteries 4 wheels, chained up the centeraxle, drove it on the trailer its going over the pond
  18. i was asked if a mid roof would fit in my trailer, sure it will
  19. they said he fell asleep and hit a bridge. this place was going to rebuild the undamaged body, well after they fix it now of course
  20. they missed the trailer, but it hit the ground before i had the brakes set, i was getting out with th camera cause if they didnt drop it i was going to be impressed, the back wrecker had its lines to close to gether only about 18inch apart centerd on the licence plate,i said before they picked it up to spred them out to the outer edges of the rear bumper, but i got the its ok we do this all the time, they sighned with no problem.
  21. so i get the shop and they say how did you get that truck up there and i say the tow truck driver back'd it up the ramps, then i was told thats to dangerous they call a wrecker serv. to pick it up and i'll just drive out. well i dont know if it safer but it sure is faster,
  22. glad it workd out, did he say what was wrong with the phone?
