  1. my L has a nice piece of plywood that fits on the side brackets, several coats of varnish and a warning that it is Positive Ground. I'll post a photo if one of you guys tells me how to post.
  2. thanks for the info Carl, we just finished an addition to the existing pole bldg. (actually the addition is larger, 42 x 60 ) we are going to insulate ceiling and walls and finish off and possible a heater ,that won't be done till the spring .
  3. Any recommendations on winterizing the pump on my 'L', our garage is unheated and I like to keep the pump lubricated to keep seals etc.from drying out and prevent corrosion ,currently I put 12 gals. of RV antifreeze in it.thanks

  6. Also the C did not have the diamond plate on the front like that (had stainless steel panel, also signal lights not orginal to the C .looks like a nice truck.

  8. was the tank mounted between the frame rails or under the diamond plate over the pump ?
  9. Don't know about a all aluminum Autocar but I did see a all stainless steel Autocar outside of Phila Pa. at a steel co. ,was always outside on display until this last year when I went by their ,new company their now and truck gone,it was in Croydon or Cornwall Pa.

  14. nice looking C model,Interested, looks like it has air brakes? does it pump ? tank hold water ? a gas 707? how is the underside? power steering? body rust? reason for selling ,where is the Mack located and what are you asking for it? thanks in advance for the reply .

  20. I don't know of any L or B for sale in my area , you can call Matt Phalfs in Ct. ,the last time I was up to his place he had 2 L pumpers in his bone yard and lots of B macks.
  21. I guess you are not looking for another L fire truck as another L or B mack you can use the parts and easier to find.

  23. anyone know where to purchase the stainless steel ball and clip type chain that attaches to the 2 1/2 caps and back to the pump panel?
  24. try not to be discouraged over a deal gone bad ,keep looking and you'll probably find a nicer one.
